Search For Happiness

So the difference between *k**a* and *prema* is the difference between darkness and light.

When your goal is how can I get happiness, that's k**a or lust. Now lust is dirty word, right. But all the worldly love is categorized into this.

And when the goal is the happiness of the beloved that's love, and this love is like the Sun and lust is like darkness. For endless lifetimes our habit was to love other people for our sake.

Our material intellect is habituated to thinking what's there in it for me. What will I get? So when we come to the divine realm we apply the same formula.
If I do bhakti what will I get. If I don't get anything then am I crazy to do bhakti🤔

However, there's something between lust and love 💕as well. And that's business 😇
In lust, the goal is take take take. In love the goal is give give give.
And in business the goal is give and take.
But what I get should be more than what I give, otherwise I'm a foolish businessman.

So this give and take is business! Now when we approach God we also go with the same mentality to do business.

I will do bhakti then I should get this this and this😉
Somebody came to a Guru and said: Gurudeva, why should I chant the name of God?
So Guru said: Because God is great, He is your eternal relative.
The aspirant said: Okay, but if I take the name of God what will I get?

The Guru said: Now you have started your business 🤦🏻‍♂️
When we wish to go into the divine realm remember something, all this get get we think about is low level thing.
If you can forsake that and leave it to God, He'll give you the highest thing!

The Law Of Reciprocity In The Gita

Now you can't say: God, you grâce me first, then I'll surrender. Bless my business first or answer my prayer request first, then I'll surrender to you, I promise.

Do you think it's going to work in normal dealings if some employees have this psychology. Imagine a secretary tells the boss, please give me a raise in my salary and then see how diligent I'll work.

The boss would say, you work hard first and the raise will come afterwards!
Or if a student tells the teacher: You know right now I'm feeling a little discouraged, give me good grades and I promise, after I get good grades I'll study hard 😇

The world does not function that way. The world demand that: first, you deserve, then desire!

Likewise Krishna also says that you'll first have to prove your worth by surrendering. No risk, no gain 😄

What's The Secret Of Inspiration

One salesman went to Nevada, to sell his goods in the countryside. He spent the night at a wayside motel, and in the next morning when he got up he found that the roads were snow- laden.

Everything was white, he asked the inn-keeper: I'm a salesman and I've come here to sell, do you think the environment is good enough to go out and sell things🤔

The inn-keeper said: Sir, that depends on whether as a salesman you're working on salary or on commission.😄

If you're working on salary, you're going to get it in any case, whether you go out or you don't. And the weather is very inclement, you should not go.
But if you're working on commission, you have a strong reason, a strong why to go. To get your commission you'll find that the weather is alright, you can go!

So this big why🤦🏻‍♂️ Big reason, then becomes the source of inspiration.

To succeed we also need to be bolts and nuts people looking at time schedules, project resources, and management processes.

Through detailed thinking for example, Maharishi Panani, before writing the grammar of Sanskrit decided to go to Mount Kalash and take inspiration from Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva saw Maharishi climbing up and thought, "Why should he labour and come all the way, let's teach him from a distance."
This was the first instance of distant learning.
He took his Danbury and created 12 sounds: this is the famous Mahesvara Sutra of Lord Shiva.

The first is the *Big Picture Thinking* This is reliably getting a bird's eye view of things, to come up with ideas, opportunities and possibilities.
While on the ground you can only see the opportunity before you, or for a bird, the tree ahead.
But at 30,000 feet height, it's easier to see varieties of trees or opportunities that are abound far and near.
Big Picture Thinkers literally live at 30000 feet. They provide us with ideas for growth. They're the visionaries in any field.
However, these ideas then need to be inspected in detail, through the next kind of thinking: Detailed Oriented Thinking

SB:8.4.15 purport:
*Because of sinful activities, at night we have bad dreams, which are very troublesome. Indeed, Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira was obliged to see hell because of a slight deviation from devotional service to the Lord. Therefore, duḥsvapna — bad dreams — occur because of sinful activities. A devotee sometimes accepts a sinful person as his disciple, and to counteract the sinful reactions he accepts from the disciple, he has to see a bad dream. Nonetheless, the spiritual master is so kind that in spite of having bad dreams due to the sinful disciple, he accepts this troublesome business for the deliverance of the victims of Kali-yuga. After initiation, therefore, a disciple should be extremely careful not to commit again any sinful act that might cause difficulties for himself and the spiritual master. Before the Deity, before the fire, before the spiritual master and before the Vaiṣṇavas, the honest disciple promises to refrain from all sinful activity. Therefore he must not again commit sinful acts and thus create a troublesome situation.*

*PLEASE,TURN ON THE LIGHTS YOU SWITCHED OFF*

🍂Yesterday I visited a friend of mine, who is blind. And because it was night he did something that taught me a lesson.
Upon entering the house, he switched on the light.
And I asked him "why did you put on the light yet you can't see?" He laughed for a long time, switched off the light and went to the kitchen, after a short while he came with a pot of tea and eggs, placed them perfectly well on the table and switched on the light again.
What he said made me shed tears because he said to me, pally...... I did not put on the light for my own sake or because I needed it, I did it for you because you needed it since you are not blind like me".
Then he asked me, pally, How many times have you switched off the light for other people and denied them an opportunity to see light just because you yourself do not need it?" I thought about that so deeply

I ask you the same question today. How many times have you put off your lights and denied others an opportunity to see the light while they are in darkness?

Why would you let your accounts grow to millions and even billions while your brother's child is going barefooted?

Why would you put clothes you don't wear in the bin while someone out there is almost going naked?

Why would food rot in your house while there is someone out there sleeping hungry?

Why will you see a business opportunity and hide it without sharing with your friends when you know you won’t use it?

Why will you be in a position to help someone get a promotion or a new job and you keep it because the person is not from your family, tribe or religion?

Why will you defame your brother or sister just because you don't want someone to help them?

Each of the questions above is equivalent to switching “Off The Light”
These are the things we should be mindful of as human beings.
This is true religion, helping the needy and being there for those who do not have a voice👊🏿

Please turn on the lights you switched Off 👀👀👌🏿
