A gentle reminder during this LENT season! Faith without works is DEAD!

Isaiah 58:6-7
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

In Joshua 24, the Israelites had settled in Jericho, and Joshua gathered them at Shechem.
He summoned the elders, who presented themselves before God. Joshua gave them the word he had received from God, narrating their journey, from thei forefathers who didn't know God to their current state, where they had witnessed God's mighty works firsthand.
He urged them to serve God sincerely and wholeheartedly and denounce their old gods. The elders were exhorted to make a deliberate, informed decision to choose between the one true God and their idols.
Joshua set an example, declaring his unwavering commitment to serve the Lord alongside

Our prayer today:
1. May we remember where we are coming from and what God did for us.
2. May we serve God wholeheartedly.
3. May we always choose the LORD Yahwe above every other God.
4. Mayvour families be alongside us in our Christian life. ** Our family members should not take us from serving Christ, but we should bring them closer to God.

"Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

A person’s true character is shaped by their thoughts. Your inner motives, desires, and beliefs transform you into your true self. Proverbs 23:7 says, “as a man thinketh, so is he…” What fills your mind is who you really are. As you meditate on righteous thoughts, they will mold you into righteousness. Here, we are encouraged to ponder on virtuous things that help us become the best versions of ourselves before God and men.

May God help us capture our minds into obedience of Christ.

Choose wisely what you spend your time feeding your mind and meditating upon.

Transformation over Conformity!!

The world we live in today, 'a global village', as they call it, increasingly pressures people to match its social conventions. Our inherent desire to fit in has made us more prone to generally agree to the world standards.

Ephesians 2:2, in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.

However, the word of the Lord encourages us to change our lives, characters, and appearances to match God's design. This renewal must come from within the soul, not an external show to please people.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.

You begin to live according to new principles, those which Paul reveals to the Romans. He says the will of God that is good, acceptable, and perfect 👌.
