When you are saved you are not yet a Christian as you should but with a telling appetite to become one you mature towards it; I want to know Christ and the power that raised him from the dead. I want to share in his sufferings and become like him in his death. Then I have hope that I myself will be raised from the dead.

As much as being saved is very handy when you want to be a Christian but it doesn't mean the moment you are saved you instantly become a Christian.
