ONE LIFE, ONE MESSAGE

Let a man consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God 1 Corinthians 4:1NKJV

Whatever a person says or does, carries a message about that person, whether the person is aware of it or not. A true Christian's entire life must carry one and the same message that he or she is a servant of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God. A born again teacher, nurse, police officer, accountant, electrician, motor mechanic, company director, CEO, you name it, is first a Christian before he is whatever. Meaning, people must know you to be a radical follower of Christ more than you are anything else. In an interview, the way you present and conduct yourself, the manner in which you speak, must tell the panel something about the one in you, Christ the hope of glory. First impression lasts.
Then food was served. But Abraham's servant said, "I don't want to eat until I have told you why I have come." (Genesis 24:33 NLT). This is not to say you must always start your conversations by opening scriptures, even at the till in a supermarket, no, but everything about you must send a clear message about the one in you. How is it possible ? It is very easy, by loving everything God loves and hating everything He hates, according to His word and our conscience, which must remain pure. We live in a fallen world, full of temptations and challenges that put our convictions, faithfulness and loyalty to test, daily. Nonetheless, we should walk in fear of the Lord always, and never comprise His standards, no matter the benefits it promises to bring along. "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul ?" (Mark 8:36 NKJV). But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ (Philippians 3:7 NKJV)... we are ambassadors for Christ...(2 Corinthians 5:20). Let's represent the kingdom well. The main reason the world is so much in a state of confusion is that most of the people who are supposed to be light in the prevailing darkness are exhibiting, one person many lives. One life at church on Sunday, another life at work, a different one at home and elsewhere. All opposed to Christian living after the two hour servive on Sunday. Imagine traffic lights on both sides of the road, meant to give same signal, but one showing red and on the other side of the road, the other showing green. That would surely be a cause for accidents. Let's not add to the confusion that is in the world. For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle ? (1Corinthians 14:8).
We are called to be the light of the world, the light on a lambstand not under a basket (Matthew 5:14-15).

PERILOUS TIMES HAVE COME

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1

We have been rudely awakened to the truth that the world is no longer the place we have always known it to be. Suddenly we live in dangerous, teacherous, hurtful, fierce, uncontrollable, unpredictable, and high risk times. Things have really gone out of human control.
Aposle Paul did warn about it in the scripture qouted above. Christians in particular, have always known about the coming of such times through the bible, they have experienced it one way or another, but somehow every generation expected the worst of it to happen, not anytime soon, at least not during their lifetime.
In John 16:33 Jesus Himself said "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have PEACE. In the world you will have TRIBULATION, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world".
It is interesting that Jesus combined PEACE and TRIBULATION. This means the offer of peace does not remove the reality of tribulation, and the presence of tribulation does not annilate the promise of peace.

Now, the big question in the mind of every true Christian is "how should we as Christians respond to all of this ?" Some have the answer, others don't.
Well, to those who don't have, for now, all I can say is that "stay tuned to this page, your answer is loading". It will change every negative perception you might presently have about probably a lot of things. You will start to appreciate people and sermons you perhaps criticized and despised before. You will see the truthfulness, faithfulness, power, and love of God in the whole situation.

Finally, for today, let me just remind you my dear siblings, there is God in heaven. He is love, He does not sleep nor slumber, He will never leave nor forsake us.

HIS STRENGTH IN OUR WEAKNESS

And He said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness" 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV

The way God answers prayers, and very quickly these difficult days is very amazing. God has His own reasons for doing whatever He does. If I were to be asked what I think is the reason for God to answer prayers the way He does now, I would say probably because God is more pleased with prayers now, they are full of faith. Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 6 says But without faith it is impossble to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who deligently seek Him.

God is very pleased with prayers being offered of late. They are full of faith, only in Him, because of inavailability of plan B or plan C in most cases currently. We are desperate for Him. Our dependance and trust in God, for healing when there is no medication in existence for the particular sickness, for His provision when there is absolutely no food or money to buy some, is definitely not the same as when we have something else to count on. Imagine someone praying, trusting God to provide lunch for him when he has more than enough money in his pocket to buy that lunch in a restaurant just nearby. Part of him will be saying, anyway if God doesn't provide I will just quickly rush and get myself something in a moment. When a solution can only come directly from God, we pray with so much faith in our hearts, which makes God to be very pleased and respond overwhelmingly and urgently. There is no medication in sight for the current pandemic, but just look at the figures of those recovering daily. Things would be far worse if it isn't for His power and grace in response to the prayers of His children around the world. The way young children are praying, it's unbelievable. They wait for no instruction from anyone because God instructs them through the Holy Spirit. He hears and answers their prayers in a way which was never before imaginable.
The day a cure will be found, some people will be reluctant to pray, giving one excuse after another. We may deny it, but it is a fact we all know. God forbid.
Let's remember God even when it is well with us (Genesis 40:14), praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), putting our hope on what we don't see (Romans 8:24).
God is faithfull. This is time to individually build our relationship with Him through prayer and eating His word. He is not on lockdown, but at work purifying the church Jesus will very soon come for.
In our weakness His strength is demonstrated.

HE MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS

and has made us kings and priests to His God and father, to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen Revelation 1:6 NKJV

What an honour ! What a priviledge ! No wonder the prophets who prophecied of this grace, wanted to know more about how the salvation was going to work 1 Peter 1:10. Its imagination overwhelmed them, they couldn't comprehend it. In the old covenant it was not possible to be both a king and a priest. In fact 2 Chronicles 26:16-21 tells us how KING Uzziah destroyed his own life when he tried to double as a PRIEST in the temple. Unfortunately for those prophets, it was not for them to understand and experince the grace. It was specially reserved for me and you.
Now, being made kings and priests doesn't mean some are kings and others priests. It simply means each and everyone of us is actually a KING PRIEST. Every decree a king makes, automatically becomes a law, temporally or permanently. Security forces act quickly to see to it that it is adhered to. Unlike a president, which can only express his opinion or put forward a suggestion to be first discussed in parliament for approval or disapproval. A king is the final authority in a land. As kings, we have full authority over all powers of darkness. Angels, our security agents are there to act in defence of what we say and do, as long as it is aligned with the word of God. In the old testament it was the duty of the priests to mediate between God and the people. Our priestly responsibility is to burn the incense of prayer before God. To cry for the lost world, among other things.
However, as a warning, we should always bear in mind that our authority is not without limit, and that power corrupts. The devil will always tempt us to overstep our boundary, and unconsciously overrule God. But fear, lest somehow, as the serpent decieved Eve by his craftness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3 NKJV). God gave us reign over the earth (Psalm 115:16), but not to rule independently of Him.
Let's take full advantage of this unique priviledge given us as the body of Christ. Making good use of our God given authority on earth and our relationship with Him, to accomplish our great commission on planet earth.

CONDOLENCES

We can safely say every citizen of our beloved country, young and old, is having sleepless nights because of the horrific accident which claimed so many lives. It is really sad, and hard to come to terms with what happened. Today not a single copy of the daily local newspapers remained in any shop in the entire Mbabane city. It was because of the accident. Everyone is touched.
Death ! Mass death ! It is not the first time it happened in the country, but each time it happens, it crushes our spirits even more than ever before. A lot of things came to my mind. I even went to the extent of imagining one of them joyfully talking with someone perhaps a parent over the phone when the accident suddenly happened. None of them knowing it was a goodbye conversation. It is one of the instances where we get tempted to question God. The main focus of the whole world, including our country was on the global pandemic.
What a loss of young energetic souls, who committed themselves to serving the nation. Not forgetting the truck driver, who was labouring to support his family. Dreams were instantly shuttered, just like that !

As New Life Celebration Centre - NLCC family, we would like to pass our sincere condolences to all their families, relatives, friends, colleagues, the Government of the kingdom of Eswatini, the Royal Eswatini Police, the company the truck driver worked for, fellow sports people, their churches, and the entire nation.
Special condolences to the head of state king Mswati 111 and the Queen mother.

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, comfort the families and everyone touched at such a time as this. 2 Corinthians 1:3.

We would also like to encourage all fellow Christians not to lose heart. I know we have all been all along praying tirelessly, day and night against all strategies, viles, flaming arrows, and fiery darts of the wicked one. God knows. He is on the throne.
Let's soldier on.

KNOWLEDGE IS VITAL

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32 NKJV.

Other versions say the truth shall SET you free. I like how the NKJV puts it "shall MAKE you free". A person who has committed a crime and is being held in custody pending judgment, after the trial has already been conducted, may be set free in absentia on the judgment day, but remain in bo***ge for as long as he has no knowledge of his freedom. Though already SET free, only knowledge of that freedom can MAKE him free.
It took Daniel to recall that they were to be in captivity for only seventy years, otherwise they would have stayed in Babylon for much longer.
Lack of revelation knowledge of the meaning of being a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people ....... (1 Peter 2:9 NKJV) is the biggest let down for many Christians today. There are many benefits that goes with belonging to this royalty.
But I do not want you to be ignorant, bethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, LEST YOU SORROW AS OTHERS WHO HAVE NO HOPE (1 Thessalonians 4:13). We have Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).
God is not expecting His children to behave as ignorant people in challenging times, because through His word, we have knowledge and understanding of what is going on in the world, and we have insight to the future.
In Matthew 13:13 Jesus said "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand..
Head knowledge of scriptures is not enough, we ought to pray without ceasing for revelation knowledge.
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up, and he shall save the humble person (Job 22:29 KJV). Divine knowledge says "count it all joy when you fall into various trials (James 1:2).
We know our God is with us always, We know He will never leave nor forsake us. A woman can forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb, yet our God will never forget us Isaiah 49:15.

Let's eat the word (Jeremiah 15:16), to get more knowledge and understanding of this endtimes, and overcome the many fears the devil has poured out to divastate all humanity. We refuse to be victims of any fear. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4)

LET US NOT GIVE UP PRAYING FOR THE SICK

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying "I am willing, be cleansed". Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:3

These days hospital visitations are prohibited probably in every country in the world because of covid-19. We are not allowed to go there and lay hands on the sick, but there is something we can do.
Social distancing, isolation, and being quarantined is not really a new rule on planet earth. It was there during Jesus's time. The only difference between now and then is that now it applies with every individual, yet in Jesus's time it only applied with lepers. It is indeed a new experience in our generation. The feeling of a sense of rejection both at home and in public is becoming unbearable to many people.
In the above scripture, Jesus was willing and able to touch and heal the particular man who had leprosy, which he eventually did. He did not not act in rebellion against any Government rule, but in sure knowledge and confidence that He would definitely heal the man who had experienced the daily distancing of the rest of the community, probably for years.
Our God is not governed or restricted by any law or rule on earth. He is omnipresent. God can reachout to the hospital patients and all staff through our prayers in the name of Jesus.
May our faith be built up by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. There is nothing impossible with God. He is the Lord, the God of all flesh, there is nothing too hard for Him. Let us not grow weary while doing good, being confident that what Jesus did, He still does today.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE

If someone says, " I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen ? (1 John 4:20).

Just imagine a man who claims to love someone, asking her family to remove the ears before he could pay dowry and marry her, because he doesn't love the ears, for instance. Without the ears, she can only be worse off. If he loves her, he has to love everything about her. Some people claim to love and worship God, but hate His son Jesus Christ. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
If God says someone is a liar, surely that person is a liar who decieves self and others. Hating a member of a family naturally translates to hating the whole family.
Hating a person leads to hating everyone who loves or is in talking terms with that particular individual. No wonder for some Christians fellowship is a struggle because they find themselves hating everybody. It all starts with hating just one person. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love (1 John 4:8). Hating is sin, there is no love in sin. Becareful of who you choose to be your friend. Hatred is contagious. We increase or decrease by association. If you were truly converted, just honestly examine yourself if you still have the same love you had at the beginning of your Christian journey. Hatred is one of the causes of the difference. It is a form of spiritual cancer. It gradually eats up prayer life, zeal for fellowship and serving, and love for God and His dear children, until the person dies spiritually. Today there are many Christians who do good works, but all without love. Let all that you do be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14). As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, therefore be zealous and repent (Revelation 3:19). Otherwise if you habour hatred, grudges, anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness, you unconsciously become a good ambassador of the kingdom of darkness to cause strife and division in the family of God.
"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left you first love". Remember therefore from where you have fallen, repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent" (Revelation 2:4-5).
Stop blaming and accusing others. Stop murmuring and complaining. You are the main culprit. Time for grace is running out.

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE, NEVER !

"I have been zealous for the Lord God of hosts, for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your alters, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I ALONE AM LEFT, and they seek to take my life" 1 Kings 19:9-10.

After Jezebel threatened Elijah, he ran for his dear life and hid in a cave. God came there and asked him a question " What are you doing here Elijah ?". The above scriptures were Elijah's answer to God.
Elijah was convinced that he was the only prophet of God left, yet Obadiah managed to hide and feed one hundred other prophets of God. 1 Kings 18:4. They were there.
If there is one thing that should give us children of God comfort and energy to stand firm in difficult times, is that He is right there with us always.
David said in Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me".
Yes, it is guaranteed, evil will come, but instead of having fear, we must have faith in God our loving and caring father. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). All His promises are yes, and in Him Amen, to His glory through us (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Let's remove our eyes from what the devil is doing, and fix them on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)
He is faithful, He is trustworthy, and He is dependable. He declared the end from the beginning, and from acient times things that are not yet done. His counsel will stand (Isaiah 46:10).
He perfectly knows the past, present, and future. He does not sleep nor slumber (Psalm 121:4). He has our best interest at heart. His love never fails.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE, others are also praying in isolation. God is everywhere. Maximize moments and pray without ceasing.

THE TIME IS NOW

In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted, and the train of His robe filled the temple (Isaiah 6:1 NKJV).

I used to hear a lot of preaching based on this scripture at night vigil preceeding a burial. Emphasis was put on the death of the king as reason the writer had an encounter with the Lord. The death of the king is not a point of focus at all here, but the timing of the writer's experience is. If modern calendars were already there, he was just going to quote the date e.g 24th of March 2020, I saw the Lord, without any mention of king Uzziah and his death.
I am humbly appealing to everyone who has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and saviour, to please make a firm decision to do so as a matter of urgency. There is no need to wait for someone to die for you to have an encounter with the Lord. Jesus died once and for all, for everyone, young or old, rich or poor, learned or unlearned, and regardless of colour of skin.
May it be on record that during the challenging time that shook the whole world in 2020, you surrendered your life to God your creator. This is a decision pride would never allow anyone to take. There is no embarrassment in running home for saftey, love, and care when storm is coming. There is no place like home.
Time for grace to do so is quickly running out my dear brother, my dear sister. The time is now. Tomorrow may just be too late. You don't want to regret having not taken the opportunity while it was still there.
The greatest need for humanity on earth is a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ. It is the desire of God that everyone be saved. Let nothing stand between you and eternal peace. Even pride, if it is there, please swallow it and do the right thing, for the sake of others as well, to see the light in you and do likewise.
We can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8).
