This weekend, the St. Joseph Sodality joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph, the spouse of the Virgin Mary. The memorable event took place at Salesian High School, with the honored presence of our special guests from the Deaf Community.

The celebration began with Holy Mass, presided over by our Spiritual Director, Fr. Mswane, who in his homily encouraged the faithful to serve God alone with unwavering devotion. Furthermore, two new prospective members were warmly introduced to the Sodality—Patrick Motsa and Sibusiso Zulu from the Deaf Community—after expressing their interest in joining.

Following the Mass, we had enriching presentations from our Spiritual Director and a representative from the Deaf Community, who shared meaningful insights on how we can better understand, support, and live in unity with the Deaf Community.

As a gesture of love and solidarity, the St. Joseph Sodality presented gifts—blankets—to members of the Deaf Community, a timely offering as the winter season approaches.

The day concluded in fellowship as we shared a meal together, strengthening our bond as one community in Christ.

“Go to St. Joseph.”

Bible Sunday Celebration
Today, the St. Joseph Sodality joyfully celebrated Bible Sunday at Holy Rosary Parish, Mankhayane. The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Maasa, who in his homily encouraged the faithful to heed Pope Francis’ call to the Catholic Church: to make the Bible visible in our lives, to find joy in reading the Word of God, and to faithfully live out its teachings.
The visit to Holy Rosary Parish was a catechetical outreach by the Sodality, aimed at sharing its mandate within the Church and encouraging bobabe to journey together in the footsteps of St. Joseph, our model of faith, obedience, and service.
On this same day, bobabe put the Word of God into action by visiting the in-law of one of their members to offer condolences following the loss of a loved one. This act of compassion reflected the teachings of Scripture to love and support one another, especially in times of sorrow. May God grant comfort, strength, and peace to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Akadunyiswe uJesu Kristu.

St. Joseph Sodality, in collaboration with the St. Cecilia Sodality, cordially presents the 2026 Valentine’s Dinner, themed “Love That Endures: Rooted in Faith, Sealed by God.”
This joint initiative reflects the shared commitment of both Sodalities to foster strong relationships, unity, and cooperation, working together as one Catholic family. The Valentine’s Dinner is a fundraising initiative intended to support the Christian obligations and apostolic missions of both Sodalities.
Proceeds from the event will assist the St. Joseph Sodality in covering expenses related to the celebration of its 70th anniversary, marking seventy years since its establishment in the Diocese of Marianhill, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, to be commemorated in June 2026. In addition, funds will support the Sodality’s mission trip to Lesotho in April 2026, aimed at the formation and establishment of the St. Joseph Sodality within the Diocese of Lesotho.
The St. Cecilia Sodality will utilize its share of the proceeds to further its liturgical ministry through sacred music. This includes visiting parishes across the Diocese of Manzini, participating in diocesan events, and strengthening liturgical music in service of worship.
Your generous support will greatly contribute to the success of this Valentine’s Dinner and to the continued growth of these vital ministries within the Church.
