Happy Birthday, Fr Ncamiso Vilakati πŸŽ‰πŸ™

Today we thank God for the gift of your life and your priestly vocation. Your guidance, humility, and unwavering faith continue to inspire and strengthen our parish community. Through your words, service, and compassion, you bring us closer to Christ and remind us of the beauty of living in faith.

May the Lord bless you abundantly with good health, wisdom, and continued strength as you shepherd His people. May your days be filled with joy, peace, and the grace you so generously share with others.

Thank you for your dedication and love for our parish. We are truly blessed to have you.

Happy Birthday, Mphephetse! πŸŽ‚βœ¨

EASTER VIGIL
Christ is Risen! ALLELUIA
A night of prayer, reflection, and joy.
We began our night vigil with a Service of Light, which started with a Procession to church.
We listened to the Word of God from the Book of Genesis, Exodus, Prophets, and the New Testament.

Fr. Vilakati, in his homily, he challenged us to go back to Galilee. Galilee is the city where Jesus started his mission. This is where Jesus made his first miracle-Wedding at Cana. As Jesus in the Gospel, he told his disciples to go to Galilee after Resurrection.

"As the disciples of Jesus, we are asked to go back to our original state. We need to reset ourselves to 'factory settings '. We need to go back to the state where God created us. In the Book of Genesis, God say ' Let us make a man , in our own image. ' We are created in the image of God. Due to sin, we moved away from the likeness of God."

The church gained a follower of Christ! One member joined the church through Baptism and Confirmation . We were asked to support her in her journey with us in Christ.

Parishioners had an opportunity to make reflections on the 8 readings. Profound reflections were shared, and we had praise and worship in between the reflections.

THE SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
1 Corinthians 11:23-25
For I received from the Lord the teaching that I passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, and said, β€œThis is my body, which is for you. Do this in memory of me.”
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup and said, β€œThis cup is God's new covenant, sealed with my blood. Whenever you drink it, do so in memory of me.”

Today, Christ The King Parish, joined the Universal Church celebrating the SOLEMNITY of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Catholic doctrine states that during the Eucharist, the bread and wine are transformed into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ, while retaining their physical appearance. This transformation is called TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
The Blessed Sacrament was exposed in a procession around the Mission where the faithful offered their prayers for the Parish, schools, priests, religious, unemployed and workers.

Finally, we welcome new catholics on the Communion table, where they received the Holy Communion for the first Time.

Akadunyiswe Jesu Kristu.
