Kukholwa luhambo. It is a journey, a departure from a life of sin and death to live a holy life and have eternal life. Afuna kutsi nakabadzinga abatfole dvutane. Growing in the faith means moving away from the life of sin and everyday growing in the knowledge of Christ and becoming more and more like Jesus. Jesus told the fishermen to move intp the deep and.let their nets down and catch fish where they had failed to catch. The fishermen heard Him and obeyed. The fish that were not there during the night of failure heard the Master and came into the nets. What does God want from His children?Most people are busy trying to please God but really they are just pleasing themselves in God's name. 1 Samuel 15 : 22 Samuel tells this King what delights God. Saul thought that God delights in sacrifices. God delights in the obeying of His voice than in sacrifices. Obedience is what God wants from us. At no point should we be ungrateful to God. In the good times, praise God. In your dull, hard times, praise God. Your praises at any time or at any season are a show of faith in God and faith pleases God. Faith invites His intervention. Lord you deserves the best of everything. Because of his faith in God Noah built the ark as God has said. Because of his faith in God Abraham left his father's house, his country as Hod had ordered. You see "faith" makes people do somethings. What is your faith doing? Is it alive or dead. Because of their faith in God, the three Hebrew boys in Babylon were willing to die for whk they believed. Because of their faith in the Lord Jesus the apostle went out to preach the Word and God went with them to testify for the Gospel. You will never know what God has for you until you allow that faoth in you to move you forward. Good morning. We walk, we live, we move, we progress by faith not sight. Good morning Gateway family and friends. I was just meditating on what is happening with the lockdowns especially pertaining to the church and I arrived at the following conclusions
1. It did not happen for nothing. We can ignore this and loose seeing what is involved.
2. There is a bigger picture in all these things that are happening to the church
3. The church needed the lockdown. Closing of the church may seem satanic but we needed this.
4. This is about church. If the church does not return to God, does not seek God's face the impact of the Covid-19 will be felt gor a very very long time.
This was a time for God's children to look into their ways. To do an introspection. To return the church to tge one who built and who is building it. Every car needs a service and this was or is the time for a full service.
We cannot return to church or open church and continue doing what we like, continue to make the church a den of thieves and money peddlers, continue with infighting and killing one another. Angeke kulunge avulwe sibuyele siyochibeka netidvumba, netinyanga. It was a time of reintrospection.
