*Testimony of Joy: Achok Ngor Receives the Audio Bible*

Achok Ngor, a widow living in Wadhalelo Payam, Jur River County, Western Bahr El Ghazal State, South Sudan, expressed deep happiness and gratitude upon receiving an Audio Bible from the Great Commission Initiative Ministries (GCIM).

Achok, who has faced many challenges as a widow, shared how the Audio Bible has brought her comfort, peace, and spiritual encouragement. She described it as a powerful tool that allows her to hear God’s Word daily, even in moments of solitude.

GCIM remains committed to its mission of reaching out to widows, orphans, and vulnerable individuals, bringing them closer to Christ. Through sharing the Good News, providing spiritual and emotional healing, and empowering communities, GCIM continues to transform lives and restore hope in South Sudan.

Achok’s story is a testament to the impact of the ministry’s work and the joy that comes from connecting people to God’s Word. May her testimony inspire others to join hands in supporting those in need and spreading the love of God.

This incredible opportunity is supported by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) through local partners. 🤝

The AVP training will equip our team with skills to reduce violence in our community and promote peace-building efforts. 🌟

Testimony on the Impact of the Audio Bible

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share the Word of God through the Audio Bible, especially with those who have not previously known the Old Testament in the Dinka language. Today, I rejoice in being able to help translated and communicate the Old Testament in our mother tongue. This has been a great blessing for our communities.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to Serving Christ Ministry and The Great Commission Initiative Ministries for their support. Through their partnership and encouragement, I am able to continue my mission of witnessing Jesus Christ throughout the Tonj Diocese and across Warrap State in South Sudan.
This moment is also the fulfillment of a prayer I carried in my heart between 1993 and 1996—a time when I endured a severe spiritual trial. During those years, I suffered physical blindness, and I earnestly prayed to God: "If You restore my sight, I will testify to Your name wherever I go." God, in His mercy, answered my prayer, and my eyes were opened. To this day, I continue to witness His faithfulness. May the name of the Lord be praised forever.
Furthermore, I once dreamed that after completing my education, I would establish the Great Commission Bible School (GCBS) in Tonj East County, Warrap State. Today, by God’s grace and with the support of The Great Commission Initiative Ministries and Serving Christ Ministry, this dream is beginning to take shape. I am committed to proclaiming the Gospel and fulfilling this vision wherever the Lord leads me.
Finally, I want to share that on May 22, 2025, while visiting the village of Mabior Yar in Tonj South County, I had the joy of delivering this message and witnessing how the Word of God continues to impact lives in our communities.
