Today, on this blessed Palm Sunday, the Anglican Church prayed for its Missionary Area in Pochalla. The Church prayed for growth, strength and leadership of the Holy Spirit as his servants Joseph Cham and Samuel Otwel Ojulu continue the Church planting and ministry in the region. St Philip Anglican Church in Pochalla is almost complete with the roofing completed in God's grace.

To be the glory.

CONSECRATION OF THE DIOCESAN BISHOP
MAY 26, 2024.
ST. PETER AND PAUL ANGLICAN CHURCH

On May 26, 2024, The first Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Juba and Diaspora Missions Rt Rev. John Chol Awuol was consecrated at the fellowship of the Anglican College of Bishops conference that took place in Juba presided over by His Grace Most Rev John Machar Thon Khok, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church of South Sudan. The event was attended by Anglican Archbishops and Bishops heading various provinces and dioceses of the Church.

Before his consecration, Bishop John Awuol was the Secretary General of the Church's General Synod and Rector in Juba. Bishop Awuol was elected in 2019 through the Diocesan Synod.

While the Diocese has been under the leadership of the Primate, the general Synod separates the Diocese of Juba in 2023 to be headed by a Bishop that will work with and support the Primate on the day to day activities of Diocese and Diaspora Missions as the Primate focus more on Supervisory role and overseeing the general Church affairs including the provinces, matters of faith and direction.

Give the Lord all praises.
