What a joyful moment to witness the beautiful union of my good friends Eng. Emmanuel and Dr. Julia — daughter of a Pastor and son of the Former Archbishop of Upper Nile Internal Province. Blessed to share this special day and to reconnect with my brothers in Christ from Kampala and Juba: Rev. Kon Kuol Ajing and Pastor Matthew Ayii. Truly a memorable and happy day!

Your Grace,

On behalf of the Episcopal Diocese of Abyei, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on your enthronement as the Second Archbishop of the Northern Bhar El Ghazal Internal Province at Good Shepherd Cathedral, Wau. We give thanks to God for the presence and blessing of the Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Metropolitan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Juba, His Grace The Most Rev’d Dr. Justin Badi Arama, who officiated this historic occasion, together with Internal Archbishops, Bishops, clergy, government officials , and the faithful who gathered to witness this joyful event.

On this occasion, we also acknowledge with gratitude the outgoing Archbishop, His Grace Moses Deng Bol, for his outstanding leadership, vision, and many achievements in bringing the Church to its present strength. His Grace has further pledged to continue standing alongside you for the growth and unity of the Church.

Your Grace, we celebrate your new calling with confidence that you are a man of God, filled with wisdom, a gift of leadership, love for peace, and a spirit of unity. We believe the Northern Bhar El Ghazal Internal Province will continue to grow and flourish under your shepherding.

The Episcopal Diocese of Abyei Anglican Communion, in partnership with Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART), is excited to inform the public of great achievements in the education sector at Agok.

Since 2022, and still ongoing, this project has brought the following to life:

🏫 Construction of 4 classrooms for ECSS Secondary School in Agok
🚽 Building of 4 latrines for girls
📚 A library equipped with theological, secondary, and primary school books
💻 5 desktop computers installed
🤝 Ongoing relief support for returnees, refugees, and IDPs

On 21 July 2025, Rev. Joseph Kat Machok, Diocesan Secretary, made an official visit to monitor the progress including the making of benches and installation of computers.

During the visit, Rev. Kat spoke with Rev. Peter Mawien Chol Malith, Headteacher of Agok ECSS Primary School, who:

➡️ Expressed joy over continued support from the Ministry Education of Abyei Special Administrative Area for providing teaching materials, capacity building for teachers, and school feeding for pupils

➡️ Gave thanks to Rt. Rev. Michael Deng, Diocesan Bishop of Abyei, for his strong effort in ensuring the computers and power supply were installed in the library — now being used by pupils and teachers alike.

Rev. Peter also noted that he personally hopes to gain computer skills, and that the library is already helping staff improve their knowledge.
