Acts :13:1-12
GOD OF SECOND CHANCE
we see God beginning a new work through Saul and Barnabas. Saul, who later became Paul, was once a man who persecuted Christians. He arrested believers and fought against the church. Yet God did not throw him away. God changed him, called him, and used him powerfully.
Even though they were chosen and sent by God, their journey was full of challenges, opposition, uncertainty, and spiritual battles. This was used to relate to the reality of our own lives today.
We learn that;
Life is a Journey with Challenges..and in many a times we loose hope and control of ourselves but we serve a God who is a God of second chance.
challenges are not always signs that God has abandoned us. Sometimes challenges are part of the journey toward purpose.
Secondly.
The Holy Spirit Leads God’s People..The message is clear but by our own strength we cannot move by human wisdom alone but by the spirit that is given to us by the lord.
Just as travelers need a guide on a difficult road, believers need the Holy Spirit in life’s journey.
The church was praying and fasting when the Holy Spirit spoke:
“Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Key things to note in our life's Journey
1: We should stand strong and get focused even when we feel we have failed
When feel they have made mistakes in life or in their walk with God.
He teaches that:
Failure should not make you quit
Shame should not silence your calling
Weakness should not remove your focus
Paul and Barnabas faced many challenges, but they did not stop their mission.
You need to
Keep your eyes on God, not your mistakes
Do not allow discouragement to distract you from your purpose
Spiritual battles are not a reason to give u
2: Paul did not let the past define his future
From Paul's past life we see
He once persecuted Christians
He caused suffering to Church
