Easter Message from Sudan Interior Church (SIC) Leadership – 2026
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate Easter in 2026, we are reminded of the central truth of our faith: “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said” (Matthew 28:6). The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not only a historical event but the foundation of our hope, our faith, and our future.
In a world marked by uncertainty, conflict, and hardship—especially within our nation—Easter speaks a powerful message of victory over despair, light over darkness, and life over death. The risen Christ assures us that suffering and injustice do not have the final word. God’s redemptive power is still at work among His people.
As Sudan Interior Church, we are called to embody this resurrection hope in our communities. Let us renew our commitment to:
Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly,
Live as agents of peace, reconciliation, and unity,
Serve those in need with compassion and humility,
Strengthen the Church through discipleship and faithful leadership.
We encourage all believers to reflect deeply on the sacrifice of Christ and the power of His resurrection. Let this season inspire us to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4), demonstrating love, forgiveness, and righteousness in all that we do.
May the risen Lord fill your hearts with peace, strengthen your faith, and guide our nation toward healing and restoration.
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
With blessings,

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS FROM SUDAN INTERIOR CHURCH

Luke 2:10-11 NIV
[10] But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. [11] Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Dear Fellow Believers,
I greet you all in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As we joyfully celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give thanks to God for the gift of salvation brought to humanity through His Son. Christmas reminds us of God’s great love, humility, and hope for the world. On this blessed occasion, I encourage each one of you to renew your commitment to the Lord and to work faithfully for the glory of His Kingdom.

Let us remain steadfast in proclaiming the Gospel, so that the name of Christ may be made known among the unreached people groups in our beloved country, South Sudan. May we continue to serve with love, unity, and sacrifice, following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As we enter the New Year, I take this opportunity to urge our national leaders and all citizens alike to embrace a culture of peace, reconciliation, and mutual understanding. Let us renew our collective commitment to achieving lasting peace, stability, and harmony for the sake of present and future generations.

May the joy of Christmas and the hope of the New Year fill your hearts, homes, and communities with peace, faith, and love.

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

Yours in Christ,
Rev.Thomas Kodhok

Let's Heal Together
James 5:16
Imagine a sick person who won’t tell anyone about their symptoms. Without help, getting through their illness would be challenging. Whether they need help from a doctor or just someone checking to see how they’re doing, it’s much easier to heal with the help of others.

Similarly, when we don’t tell anyone about the challenges we’re facing, it can be harder to work through them.

Sometimes we do things we know are wrong, but we don’t tell anyone about it because we're embarrassed, ashamed, or think we can handle it on our own. This is because we’re all affected by sin—the wrongdoing and brokenness that separates us from God. It can be hard to share our mistakes with others, but when we keep our sin to ourselves, we’re like the sick person who won’t ask for help—we suffer in isolation rather than allowing others to help us heal.

James 5:16 tells us to share our wrongdoings with other believers so that we can heal together and pray for one another.

When we share our past mistakes with someone, we are released from isolation. And when we pray together, we give God the opportunity to heal our hearts. God is our healer—He saves us from the eternal consequences of sin through His Son, Jesus Christ! And because of Jesus, we have access to a relationship with our Creator. We can bring our requests to Him and trust that He hears us.

This doesn’t mean that God will always answer our prayers in the way we think they should be answered. Instead, when we share our brokenness with Him, He invites us on a journey that will help us grow closer to Him.

If you’re struggling with something today, take some time to share it with a trusted believer. Allow them to pray with you, and you with them, as you ask God to guide you as you heal.
