I always tell people that if you ever had to choose neighbors to live with, consider the people of Aweil. They are among the kindest, most peaceful, accommodating, and loving people you could ever coexist with. We are not tribal, envious, or hateful people.
We Awelians are a very peaceful, enterprising, civilized and progressive community in the country. Aweil people also Truly taken their part in the liberation struggle of South Sudan during the early years. We are a proud community.
