The most important lesson we can learn in life is
how to pray. We must learn how to pray so that
our prayers get God’s attention. The person who
has done the most impactful and consistent
praying is the most immortal because prayers
don't die. Prayers outlive the lives of those who
uttered them. The lips that uttered them may be
closed in death and the heart that felt them may
have ceased to beat, but prayers live on before
God and God's heart is set on them.

The Great Commission is more than just preaching the message of Christ's death, burial and resurrection (i.e., the gospel) to the lost. The Great Commission includes four parts:

GO YE into all the world and preach the gospel. Many churches are lazy and don't GO YE.
MAKE DISCIPLES of every tribe (nation) the world by preaching the gospel. The world is our mission field.
BAPTIZE converts as a public profession of their faith by total immersion in water.
TEACH converts to observe (guard against loss) Christ's example through a life of obedience and faith

Don't be worried by the difficult times you are going through. Perhaps, you are on the road of humility. God is breaking down your resistance. He is causing you to be ready and open to receive grace.
