TOPIC: TAKE TIME TO NOURISH YOUR SOUL

Date: Tuesday August 18

TEXT: Psalm 119:9-11
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

KEY VERSE: Song of Solomon 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

Today’s key verse says, “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” Foxes have taken over your vineyard. Nobody is there to care for your vineyard. Little by little, your tender grapes are being spoilt. Your tender, fresh Christian life is being spoilt. Your spiritual peace is now under threat because it is not cared for. You have not shaved your beard for some time and it is disfiguring your face. What happened? You don’t have time.

You have not cut your fingernails and we can see dirt stuck in it. People are asking, “What happened to this man? Why is he like this?” It is because you don’t have time. Foxes have taken over your life. Little, little foxes, and the tenderness of your Christian life is being destroyed. Anger has now come in. Why not? It is the natural law! Anger came because the soul was not being fed. Lust also came in. They are the foxes. Why will it not come? You are dealing with women around you. What would keep you from lust?

What kept Peter from sinking in the sea when Jesus bid him to come? It was because his eyes were fixed on Jesus. But when his eyes shifted away from Jesus, what happened to him? It is a natural law. He began to sink. The lust that is coming into your heart is a natural law. It is because you don’t care for your heart. You are not giving the heart what is required to keep it clean. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee (Psalm 119:11). Did you take time to put any word there? Did you have the time? When you woke up did you read the Bible?

Those messages that you used to hear before, are you still listening to them? It is a natural law. When dry season sets into your life, the stones in the river will now be seen, because rains have stopped and the waters have dried up. Your own rain has stopped, that is why the dryness you are feeling now takes over. Little foxes, little foxes, little foxes! You are not strong, but you are still actively working. Even when Saul left the Lord, was he not still king? You are still serving. The gifts of God are without repentance. You are still demonstrating gifts but pride has come in such that even you are surprised.

Thought for the day: If you love your soul, take care of it.

TOPIC: THE UNRIGHTEOUS IS A VICTIM IN THE HANDS OF SATAN

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

KEY VERSE: Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness

If you open the door to Satan in your life, your church, or family, Jesus will take His leave. The Holy Spirit will depart because Jesus cannot share meal with Satan. “They knoweth not that they are wretched and miserable and naked and blind and poor.” This is the state of many churches and of course, those who worship in them. The Lord says they are wretched because they are suffering terribly in the hands of Satan.

They are in satanic bo***ge. Satan is dealing with them very mercilessly. Satan dwells in their midst. Satan sends his angels among them; he sends his workers among them and he is dealing with them badly, pulling them, tearing them, pushing them and removing anything good that is still remaining in them. It is a terrible situation but they are unaware. They are in a wretched condition.

Their pastors do not have righteousness. They labour and shout but there is no righteousness. They fall away and are very miserable. If you see what the devil does to these people, what they suffer, the lacks of their lives, you will pity them. They cannot stand in matters of righteousness. They cannot stand to contend with the devil rather the devil drags them on the floor. They cannot withstand him. They are the church of the Laodiceans. They boast of material wealth and physical things to their pride, but things of eternal value are not there. The members boast of their church and General Overseer, but do not have spirituality.

Did Jesus come to die for church buildings? Did He die for vehicles or business centers? The Lord said they are poor, lacking in spiritual essence. They are blind, unable to see spiritual truth and are tossed to and fro. Satan removed the cloth from them and stripped them naked. A man boasted, “I know the word, I went to theological school, I have doctorate degree in divinity,” but is committing immorality with people’s wives! That is a proof of their nakedness: doctor of divinity in immorality! This is not the kind of Christians Jesus is coming back to rapture.

Thought for the day: Only righteousness can keep you standing on the day of Satan’s visitation.

TOPIC: RESPECT NO MAN ABOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS May 29

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:1-2
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Key verse: Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Perhaps you were playing fraud in ministry before, then you heard that the Lord is moving in Holiness Revival Movement and you came with zeal. When we saw your zeal, we thought you were genuine and gave you assignment. In the course of time, you became prominent and well known even internationally because the messages you were preaching in Holiness Movement are all over the internet.

If we later discover that you are not true and genuine but evil and wicked; if we discover that you are compromising on God’s word and you are of darkness, surely you will not continue your ministry of falsehood and error here. We will remove you from ministry because you are not fit; your name is not in the book of life. Even when those who had divine encounter and saw Jesus with their naked eyes leave righteousness, we say “No! Not here.”

In this way, the people that are removed will not be happy. The ministry they were used to before they came here permitted them to commit immorality, embezzle church money and to commit all kinds of sin. Some even discovered strange powers in ministers and left them to continue deceiving the congregation! It is never so in HOREMOW.

Maybe your case came out through divine revelation, we will not spare you. Once we have irrefutable evidence, we will show you the way out because this Movement belongs to God Himself. He did not allow Satan in Heaven, so why should we allow you here? Never! Judas was with Jesus until he went to the place he chose. He did not continue and his place was taken by another.

In case you are ministering in HOREMOW in sin but still undetected, know that it is the patience of God at work. But that will not be forever. When your cup is full, you will be discovered and removed. The members may or may not be told the details about you because we are not fighting men but Satan. We do not desire to put them to shame unnecessarily. That is not our mind. You may not hear our voices on the matter. You may only hear from them as they start barking.

When a man stones a dog, is it the man or the dog that cries? The dog cries but the man is quiet. You may think someone has done wickedness to this dog, but do you know what the dog has done? So, when you hear someone crying be careful not to put your tongue into the matter. Be careful not to point your hand of accusation because where there is light, darkness will be easily exposed.

Thought for the day: Spiritual cleansing and weeding out of tares is a continuous exercise in HOREMOW.

TOPIC: THE PREACHER MUST ALSO BE A MAN OF PRAYER

Text: Psalm 122: 6-9
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

Key verse: “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4).

The apostles said, “We will pray for you, we will teach you prayer and ministry because if we do not pray our ministry will not have effect.” Samuel said, “I will pray for you and I will teach you also.” There are people who are very good at teaching or preaching, but they do not pray. When you take them to prayer, it is like you have removed a fish from water to the dry land. Satan has weakened their ministry by prayerlessness. Since prayer is absent, they cannot attain to holiness and righteousness.

They cannot subdue the strange thoughts that come to their mind, the temptations that come, the sight that they see in the audience that is fighting back at them. They are unable to because they have not generated overcoming grace and power through effectual fervent prayer in ministry. Somebody was talking about a prominent evangelist that I know, a great evangelist in his time but now backslidden. He said, “If this man had known how to pray, he would have done a great work in this life; but he wasn’t the praying type.” Yet when he went to crusades, signs and wonders would manifest: the blind would see, the lame would rise and walk.

Anointing is not holiness! There is a difference between anointing and holiness. Even in sin, Samson was still performing. Things were happening, but when it comes to prayer he is not there. He was not able to pray and you begin to wonder! You are not to follow this example. Give yourself to prayer and to the ministry of the word. Learn to know that we who preach need a lot of prayers. We who lead need a lot of prayers.

Paul wrote to the Colossians, “I am praying for you.” He wrote to the Thessalonians, “I am praying for you;” he wrote to the Romans, “I am praying for you;” he wrote to the Corinthians, “I am praying for you;” he wrote to the Philippians, “I am praying for you.” Paul’s preaching and letters to them was accompanied with prayers. A prayerless life is a powerless life.

TOPIC: THE BLESSED LIFE OF TOTAL TRUST IN GOD

Text: Psalm 81:13-16
13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Key verse: Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

This life of total trust is a blessed life which God has given unto you if you are truly determined to follow Him in whatever circumstances of life. If you can come this level of total trust, you are a blessed person living a blessed life. Blessed is the family that put their trust in the Lord; that is fully determined to trust in the Lord, notwithstanding the family situation. That family is indeed a blessed family.

Take this life of trust in the Lord seriously. You must come to the level of saying, “Lord, I totally surrender unto you my eyes, ears, hands, mouth and heart; in fact, every part of me and everything about me.” Have you ever tried this business of total surrender to God? Test and you will see that this exercise is the sweetest in life. It is the honey out of the rock. Trust in the Lord when darkness is encroaching your life.

Trust in Him when your light is dimming. Trust in Him for an overcoming life. Trust is what paves way for victory, peace and tranquility of life. Just surrender to God and trust Him for the reversal of your situation as it pleases and glorifies Him. Whatever is happening, whatever you are looking for, just surrender to God as you have believed Him. Whatever is your imagination, still believe God. That is all you need to do.

Purpose in your heart that in whatever situation of life, you will completely trust God and submit your entire being to His dependable and reliable hand. Having signed a contract of total trust in God, to rely and depend on Him as long as you live, now surrender to God and practically depend on Him for everything in your life. Blessed is that man and that woman that will be determined to trust God in all situations. Be empowered to live the blessed life from today in Jesus name.
