On Day 3 of the Prayer and Fasting, Godโs Servant Apostle Dr David Godson ministered powerfully on the theme โFaith,โ drawing his central text from Mark 5, where Jesus declared, โDo not be afraid; only believe.โ He taught that genuine faith does not coexist with panic, fear, or confusion. Using vivid illustrations, he explained that faith keeps a believer moving forward even when circumstances suggest otherwise.
Apostle Godson emphasised that faith refuses to sit helplessly in despair; instead, it drives the believer to act, speak, and trust God beyond what the eyes can see. He reminded the congregation that panic is evidence of misplaced focus, but faith anchors the heart in Godโs Word, producing peace, confidence, and spiritual stability.
Referencing the story of Jairus, whose daughter was declared dead, Apostle Godson highlighted how Jesus immediately addressed fear before performing the miracle, saying, โOnly believe.โ He stressed that fear and faith cannot walk togetherโwhere fear dominates, faith collapses, but where faith is strong, fear is silenced.
He encouraged believers to remain calm in the face of negative reports, to reject the voices that promote doubt, and to hold firmly to Godโs promises. As the message unfolded, the atmosphere shifted into one of assurance and strength, as worshippers were charged to live a faith-filled life marked by peace, courage, and unwavering trust in God, knowing that faith releases the power of God in every impossible situation.
