ACTIVATE THE COVENANT
As a child of God, there is need to guard your relationship with God. The will of God for you is to increase in every area of your life. God has a great plan for you and this plan is imbedded in a covenant. God relates with His children based on the covenant He has with them. Your responsibility is to activate the covenant. The covenant provides cover for you against the winds of the enemy. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be thou perfect. And I will make my Covenant between me and thee and will multiply thee exceedingly Genesis 14:23. The covenant guarantees ceaseless supply and multiplies blessings. The covenant has capacity to terminate your labour. The covenant will deliver to you what your sweat and labour cannot give, because the covenant is superior to your labour. Activating the covenant has some demands. Below are some demands of activating the covenant:

1. Sacrificial giving: Sacrificial givers are the jealous of God. If you want the covenant of Jehovah to be evidential in your life, be a ferocious and sacrificial giver. Abraham activated the covenant by giving his tithe, offering his precious son, Isaac. Sacrificial givers are dangerous over takers.
2. Hospitality: You must live beyond yourself. Abraham was hospital, even to Lot, his nephew.
3. Righteous living: Nothing activates covenant like righteous living. You must walk in integrity and in the fear of God in all that you do.
4. Selfless living: Selfless living activates covenant. Sow your life as a seed unto God and be prepared to reap the benefits of the covenant.
5. Service: Rendering quality and effective service unto God and humanity is a platform for covenant establishment.

Child of God, the reason why many people run from pillar to post in the challenges of life is not because of the gravity of their problems, or because the devil pursuing them is greater than them. It is because they operate outside the covenant.

Meditation: The covenant will deliver to you what your sweat and labour cannot give, because the covenant is superior to your labour.
Prayer: Father, help me to implement things that can activate your covenant in my life in Jesus name, Amen.

LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART (2)
(Matthew 22:37-38) Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’” This is the first and great commandment

In continuation of what I began sharing with you yesterday, I want you to know that to love God with all your mind is to fill your mind with things that inspire you to love God and not things that take you away from Him. Take time to fill your mind with His Word rather than violent movies and lustful temptations (Job 31:1). What we do with our mind affects our ability to receive and express love.

To loving God with all your strength is to express love for God in how you use your strength and resources of time, money, energy, talents, words, and influence. God takes great delight in the small things we do that invest our strength in ways that express love for Him and help others to love Him. He loves when we serve, give, pray, and bless others.

To loving God with all our soul is to express love for God with our soul when we exert our energy to realign our heart to center our relationship on Him, rather than on recognition or accomplishments. When our identity and primary success are in being ones who love God and are loved by Him, we are loving Him with all our soul.

Beloved, there is no greater joy than loving God and then helping others to love God. Nothing will satisfy us long-term except God Himself, and all the other blessings will flow from loving Him. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to make us a man or woman after His heart. His love makes it all possible. Life makes sense when we have this priority and learn to abide in His love.

Meditation: There is no greater joy than loving God and then helping others to love God

Prayer: Lord, help me to exert my energy to realign my heart towards my relationship with You, rather than my accomplishments or recognition from others. Help me to love you and others with all my strength.

LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART (1)
(Matthew 22:37-38) Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’” This is the first and great commandment

Today is Valentine’s Day, a day love is being celebrated. Many have erroneously taken today to be a day to commit all kinds of immoral acts. Today should be a day to love the Lord with all your heart and allow His love to flow through you to others. God wants the first commandment to be established in our life. To find the greatest joy in this life, loving God with all our heart should be our life mission statement.

Loving and living for God must be our top priority. Man’s natural tendency is to focus on gaining more blessing on our circumstances whether in money, comfort, influence, or honor. We are so often locked into our circumstances, thinking if everything works out right, we will experience the greatest fulfillment. This is how we often interpret life. But that just doesn’t work because this life will never fulfill us.

The first and greatest commandment is to love God (Matthew 22:38). Love of God has the greatest impact on our heart. It is the greatest calling. Jesus defines loving God as being the primary response He wants from us. He made us for a deep relationship with Himself. When we die we won’t bring our money, houses, or facebook “likes” and social media with us. But we will bring our growth in love and how much we love God and people.

Child of God, to love God with all your heart is to intentionally determine and enthusiastically set your love on God by determining that the primary dream of your life is to pursue living the first commandment. David, the man after God’s own heart, set His heart to love God (Psalm 18:1). Today, love the Lord like never before. Shower Him with worship, praises and thanksgiving. And reach out to the less privilege. Happy Valentine’s Day!

SERVICE: PLATFORM FOR MANIFESTATION
(Mark 10:45) For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many
Service is one of the platforms for manifestation. All Christian belief must culminate in service. When you serve, you are contributing to the advancement of God’s kingdom here on earth. Child of God, everything that happened around you is orchestrated to give you an opportunity to serve and expand God’s kingdom. You are called to serve. Make up your mind to render service to advance the cause of the Gospel, to spread the righteousness of God. Be committed to it, and refuse to be an observer on the sidelines.

You are called to Kingdom service. When you serve God, you have enlisted your name for manifestation. Membership of a Church provides an opportunities for you to serve God. Serving God make you to have fulfillment in life. Don’t be merely contented to be just a bench warmer in Church. God has deposited so much in you. Do not rob your generation of the impact you have the capacity to make by your service. There are certain aspects of you and the manner in which you will serve God that no other person can imitate. Your service is precious because you are unique in your own way. Nobody can serve God exactly the way you will serve Him.
Any time God assigns you to a local assembly, He assigns some responsibilities to you.

Therefore, be actively involved. Be a co-labourer with God for the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth. Service is the platform and the birthplace of manifestation and enthronement. It is the wheel on which manifestation rotates. If you desire manifestation, serve. The secret of manifestation is rooted in service.

Meditation: Do not rob your generation of the impact you have the capacity to make by your service. Nobody can serve God exactly the way you will serve Him. If you want to produce manifestation, you must stay on the platform of service.

Prayer: Oh Lord, my God, root out anything in my life preventing me from rendering quality and effective service in Your Kingdom. Help me to be committed in Jesus name, Amen.

BE DISCIPLINED
(Romans 6:1-2) What shall we say then, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?

Discipline is action or inaction that is regulated to be in accordance with a system of governance. Discipline can be a set of expectations that are required by any governing entity including self, groups, classes, fields, industries, or societies. Discipline extends to personal life, career, work, study, life style and even social life. Discipline is enduring today’s pain for tomorrow’s gain. It is a habit and not an adaptation in life. As a believer, you need to be discipline. Here are some benefits of discipline:

1. Focus and organised. Being disciplined helps one stay focused towards his work, activities or goals. Disciplined people are more focused and so achieve more. Disciplined people are time conscious, organized and meticulous. Being discipline helps you stay stress-free and also get you out of possible depression.

2. Respect by others: Discipline helps command respect from others. The easiest way to get respect is to be disciplined. People respect a person who is disciplined.

3. Role model. A disciplined person is hard to see, and if you are one, then you have become a role model to others. Seeing your self-discipline, others will consider you a role model.

4. Self-control: A disciplined person has self-control. He is careful in his or her use of words, his behavior etc. This way, he builds and maintains good relationship with people.

Ironically, many believers are indiscipline. Indiscipline is to be without restraint or to refuse to be under authority. When you are unruly and have disruptive behavior, you are not disciplined. Indiscipline has caused many Christians their destiny and has stagnated many. Indiscipline truncated Samson’s destiny and brought his entire ministry under reproach (see Judges 13-16). He broke every covenant of his calling and despised the honour of God put on his life. Anointing without discipline is spiritual rascality.

Meditation: Anointing without discipline is spiritual rascality. Child of God, discipline plays a key role in the way to success. You cannot be successful if you are not disciplined.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to create an atmosphere of discipline round my life. Help me to be spiritually discipline in Jesus name, Amen.

ACCESS TO INSTRUCTION
(Proverbs 9:9) Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning

Instruction is the act of teaching, directing or furnishing with information or knowledge. Instruction serve as a guide. Instruction directs. When you board a flight, instructions are given. If you must arrive safely at your destination, you must listen and adhere strictly to the instructions of the pilot or the plane hostess. So it is in the journey of life. Every Word of God carry instruction and your success or failure on this journey of life depend largely on how you respond to these instructions.

A son that adheres to instruction brings joy, satisfaction and fulfilment to his parent, but a fool, because he does not adhere to instruction, brings shame, disgrace, depression and frustration (see Proverbs 10:1). If you keep to instruction, you will go high. Non-adherence to instruction is the identity of fools. Anyone who does not want to be instructed is a confirmed fool. Instruction keeps you from being destroyed and guides you against danger.

HOW TO ACCESS INSTRUCTION
1. By Knowledge. Knowledge of God’s word brings illumination and illumination brings acceleration. If you know beyond what you know now, you will move beyond where you are now. If you know better, you will move faster and further.

2. By wisdom. Instruction is accessed in the place of wisdom. Wisdom is a revelationary insight against mechanical insight. To be wise is to rise. Lack of adherence to instruction is the major sponsor of failure in life.

3. By divine guidance. Divine guidance is non-negotiable in life if destiny must be fulfilled. It is in the place of instruction that guidance is accessed. To hear from heaven is to shine on earth and to hear from above is to stay above. David would never take a step, until he has heard from the Lord. No wonder he won all sixty-six battles. Success is inevitable in instruction.

Child of God, you walk by knowledge, you run by strength, but you fly by instruction. Beloved, my counsel is value instruction and comply with what God has told you so that you can be a high-flyer.

Meditation: Anyone who does not want to be instructed is a confirmed fool. If you want to fly high in this journey of life, adhere to instruction.
Prayer: Oh Lord, I ask for grace to value instruction. May I adhere strictly to your instruction in Jesus name, Amen.

PRINCIPLES FOR CHRISTIAN LIVING
(Matthew 5:16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good work and glorify your Father, which is in heaven

As children of God, we must live as God expects us to live. There are certain characteristics that those who are part of God’s kingdom should exhibit. Our action, behavior and conduct – what I call the ABC of Christianity - are to reflect who we are – Ambassadors of Christ. Christians are to live according to the principles as stated by Jesus in Matthew 5:13-16. Jesus used salt and light as examples to picture the way Christians should live.

Christians are Live as Salt to the World. Salt is used as a preservative and as a flavouring agent. As preservative, it re**rds and prevents decay, and a flavouring agent, it brings out the taste of food. As Christians, our lives should re**rd the spread of evil and bring flavor (good taste) to our society.

Christians are to Live as Light to the World. Light illuminates what is in the dark. To intentionally hide light is to purposely deny others its benefits. Light is to be put in a prominent place, such as on a lampstand. As Christians, we should live in such a way that people see how we live and want to know more about God.

Child of God, how are you living? Are you an Ambassador of Christ? Are you representing Christ here on earth? God is looking for sons and daughters who will represent His kingdom. Yes I know that living as God expect – salt and light - could be challenging, especially in a world that is increasingly hostile to Christianity. In spite of this, we are called to live according to God’s Word.

Meditation: Our attitudes, behavior and action – what I call the ABC of Christianity - are to reflect God’s nature. I want to ask you: Are the living as salt and as light to the world? Do your attitude, behavior and action reflect God’s nature?
Prayer: My Father, use me to leave an expression of your love and kindness. Make me salt and light to my generation. Let people see You in me. May I reflect your very nature, in Jesus name – Amen.

WHAT IS LIFE (2)
(James 4:14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

In continuation of our discussion on what is life, I want to remind you that life is only a mist, a v***r, a puff of smoke that vanishes away. Life is like a puff of smoke. Life is like a mist that rises into the air and ev***rates. I want you to know that when this life is over, all your tears, trophies, talents, skills, and treasures will mean nothing and only one thing will matter – the life you lived while you were here.

The message as recorded in James 4:13-17 is one that no person should overlook or disregard. The message if heeded can alter how we live our lives today and every day for the rest of our lives. This message is a reminder, a word of warning or caution for those who are so busy living from day to day they forget how completely fragile and uncertain is this thing called life. Simply stated, James says that our lives are like mists or like the stream of smoke that dances into the air when a candle is extinguished. It is here today and gone tomorrow; it is here one minute and gone the next. Look around the world at large and around your own life in particular and you will see that this word from James is true.

S***m and Gomorrah seems to be more decent that this generation. Virginity that was the most expensive asset is now cheaper than a plate of food. Nowadays, girls deny guys access to their ATM pin, account balance, their birth certificate (so that you do not know their age), but are quick to grant access to their body. This generation where ladies are now scheduled for hibs and b***s surgery while the guys enlargement. All these are just to satisfy urge and boost their fornication spirit. What a generation!

Beloved, when this life is over, you shall stand before your Creator to give account of your life. Do not seek gratification and pleasure at the expense of a glorious eternity. Do not thread the path of those who lived for the moment until they ran out of the moment.

Meditation: It is sinful to think that you can accomplish anything in life without God’s gracious assistance.
Prayer: Oh Lord, teach me to number my days and to do that which is most important in life in Jesus name, Amen.

WHAT IS LIFE (1)
(James 4:14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

This life you are living is a borrowed life. Every human life is on loan from God. When the time for payment is due, you must pay back the loan. Do you know that everything in life has expiry date? When a bird is alive, it eats ants, but when the bird is dead, ants eat it. One tree can be made into million matchsticks, but only one matchstick is needed to burn a million trees. When a man is alive he walks on earth, but when he is dead, the earth swallows him. Circumstances can change at any time. Do not devalue or hurt anyone in this life. You may be powerful today but time is more powerful than everyone. Do you ever think about what will become of you when your sojourn here on earth is over?

Beloved, the human life goes beyond mortal existence. When life here on earth is over “man goeth to his long home” (see Ecclesiastes 12:5), where he will live forever because he was created an immortal soul. Life on this earth is just a dress rehearsal for the life to come. Man is designed to live for eternity. Howbeit, man will spend eternity either in Heaven or in Hell. No one lives forever on earth. Those who lived yesterday have become history. Whatever you are, whoever you are, and whatever you have become, you too, will become history one day.

Many people, including believers are living anyhow, they commit fornication, adultery, steal, lie, gossip, backbite, keep malice, slander, among others. Some live in pride and arrogance to God, while others live as if God does not exist or that He does not see. We are in generation where people, including believers now live anyhow. It is no longer pr******te but slay queen, drug dealers are now called hustlers, harlots are now run girls, the display of pride and arrogance is now termed small girls with big God, po*******hy now has baptismal name Big Brother Sierra Leone and premarital s*x has been taken to be a way of proving of love.

Beloved, no matter how you choose to live your life, always remember there is something called death. There is a place called judgment throne, from where you either proceed to hell or to heaven. The way you live your life now determines where you will spend your eternity. Do not live your life as if you will not give account of it to God. Live a righteous life so that you will live with God in eternal bliss.

Meditation: When a man is alive he walks on earth, but when he is dead, the earth swallows him. Circumstances can change at any time. Do not devalue or hurt anyone in this life.
Prayer: Oh Lord, may I not be a cast away. Grant me grace to make heaven in Jesus name, Amen.

DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE (2)
(Jeremiah 29:11) I know the thought that I have towards you. Thought of good and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Purpose determines the direction and destination of one’s life. The discovery of purpose is the discovery of joy, satisfaction, accomplishment and fulfilment. Purpose is the key that unlocks your potentials. It is the key to insistence, passion, consistence and determination. To accomplish purpose is to go through life with minimal regrets and without a carry over. The discovery of purpose is the discovery of potentials. The skills, talents, abilities, and characteristics that enable you to fulfil His plans are already deposited in your spirit. Your responsibility is to discover what God designated you to do and how He planned that you would accomplish it. Here are more tips on how to discover purpose (continuation):

3. By service. Serving is the surest way to get connected with purpose. Purpose is discovered in the place of service. Until God finds you in the place of service, you will not find purpose for living. To avoid service is to be far from discovery of purpose. If you want to discover purpose, locate a department and get committed. As you serve, the purpose of your creation will be made manifest.

4. By solving problems. The world is full of problems. Solving of problems is the purpose why we are created. Purpose is hidden in the place of solving of problems. Solving of problems is the discovery of purpose and distance from finding solutions to problems is distance from purpose. As you solve problem, your purpose is discovered. If you want to discover purpose, identify a problem and find solution to it.

5. Having the right motive. Being with right motive is another birthplace for purpose discovery. The anointing is looking for servants and not masters. When you behave like a boss, you will end up in the box. Have the right heart!this is my word oh for this Saturday morning
