A Tribute to My Father Mr. Fayiah Nyuma and Celebrating Fatherhood on the Father's Day Celebration.

Fatherhood is a journey filled with love, responsibility, and the enduring hope of creating a better future for our children. Today, on Father's Day, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact of my late father, Mr. Fayiah Nyuma, whose legacy continues to inspire me as I navigate my own path as a father to two beautiful daughters.

My father, Mr. Fayiah Nyuma, was a man of remarkable strength and unwavering dedication. He was not only a hardworking farmer but also a skilled blacksmith, a testament to his versatility and relentless work ethic. He spent his days labouring in the fields and crafting tools, always striving to provide for his family and improve our lives. His hands, rough from years of toil, held the gentle touch of a father who loved his children deeply.

We lost my father on 15 June 2008, a day that left a profound void in our lives. His passing was a tremendous loss, yet his memory remains a guiding light for me. Today, as we celebrate Father's Day, I am reminded of his wish to see me climb the ladder of success. His dream was not just for me to achieve personal accomplishments, but to become a man of integrity, compassion, and resilience, just as he was.

Being a father to my two girls is a role that fills my heart with immense joy and responsibility. Every day, I strive to embody the values my father instilled in me: hard work, perseverance, and unconditional love. I want my daughters to see in me the same strength and dedication that I saw in their grandfather. I want them to know that no matter the challenges, they have the power to overcome and succeed.

To all the fathers around the world, this day is a celebration of your relentless efforts and sacrifices. Whether you are a farmer, a blacksmith, an office worker, or in any other profession, your dedication to your family does not go unnoticed. You are the pillars of strength, the silent heroes who work tirelessly to ensure a brighter future for your children. Your love, guidance, and sacrifices shape the lives of your children in ways that words cannot fully capture.

As we honour the memory of Mr. Fayiah Nyuma, let us also recognize the countless fathers who, like him, devote their lives to the well-being of their families. Let us celebrate the fathers who wake up before dawn to provide for their children, who teach by example the values of hard work and integrity, and who nurture their children with love and wisdom.

Father's Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a reminder of the incredible impact that fathers have on their families and communities. It is a day to express our gratitude, to reflect on the lessons we have learned, and to strive to be the best fathers we can be.

In memory of my father, Mr. Fayiah Nyuma, and in honour of all fathers worldwide, let us continue to climb the ladder of success, not just for ourselves, but also for the generations that follow. Let us uphold the legacy of hard work, perseverance and commitment in seeing our family and community has a credible impact.

Theme: Serve The Lord Your God And Be Blessed

Key Text: Exodus 23:1-8

I enjoy reading about psychology, especially social psychology, in my free time.

One subject that has been studied closely is obedience. How can people follow along when a group is telling them to do something they know is not right? The answer is simple: people generally do what they are told.

The more people or higher the authority, the more likely it is that they will obey.

People will generally do what they are told. If they are told to do bad things, like in the Holocaust, they will commit atrocities. If they are told to do good things, like in the verses above, they will do good things.

They will fight to not bear false witness, to uphold justice, and not follow a multitude to do evil. Humans are obedient in general, so these commandments from God are necessary and important.

Inspiration

If He had told us to do evil things, we would probably do them! Conforming and being obedient is often viewed as a bad thing by society, but conforming and being obedient to God and Christianity is certainly not.

Follow God's Word closely and you will make the world a better place and enjoy your just reward in heaven.

Quote Of The Day

"It is impossible to serve God without serving one another."

Prayer Points For Today

1. Father, in any way I have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus’ name.

2. Father, let an end come to every unprovable labor and toiling, in my life and ministry, in Jesus’ name.

*3.* Father, by Your mercy and grace, please, order my steps to the place of fulfillment, and connect me with my divine helpers, in life, in Jesus’ name.

*4.* Father, please, make my life a worthy vessel and platform, to be used to reach out to sinners, with Your message of salvation, in Jesus’ name.

Please help to share God's word with friends and family members today.

Topic: Be strong in the Lord.

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6"

Moses encouraged the Israelites to be strong and courageous because God was with them and would lead them to the promised land.

God reiterated this in Joshua 1:9 to give the Israelites the confidence to move forward. Fear has the tendency to create doubt in our minds to keep us from pursuing our vision.

The solution is to have faith in God and in His Word, and move forward.

I have this question for you, have you ever felt forsaken?

Topic: God is good

"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:5"

One nature of God is that He is good; He even gives rain and sunshine to everyone due to His goodness.

His mercy truly is everlasting; since the day of Adam and Eve to this present age, His mercy is still active.

His truth which is His Word transcends all generations. Goodness, mercy, and truth are all the nature of God.

The Lord cannot change: He cannot stop doing good, showing mercy, speaking and living the truth.

As children of God and partakers of His divine nature, let us imitate God by doing good, showing mercy, speaking and living the truth.

Potent Simplicity: What is the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice?

Jesus came to give himself as a sacrifice for all peoples – so that we could find God. This message was announced at the beginning of human history, emblazoned with a Divine signature in the sacrifice of Abraham and in the Passover sacrifice, with further details predicted in various prophecies in the Old Testament. The echo of this primal promise was even remembered in the ancient Chinese and South Asian histories. Why was his death so important and emphasized? How does it show anything about the goodness of God? Or about the love of God? These are questions worth considering.

The scripture for today is:
Psalm 18

1 I will love You, O LORD, my strength.

2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

4 The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry.

8 Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it.

9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down with darkness under His feet.

10 And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12 From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.

13 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

14 He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.

15 Then the channels of the sea were seen, the foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.

16 He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, For they were too strong for me.

18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.

19 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.

21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22 For all His judgments were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me.

23 I was also blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.

24 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

25 With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;

26 With the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.

27 For You will save the humble people, but will bring down haughty looks.

28 For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

29 For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall.

30 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

31 For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?

32 It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.

33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.

34 He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

36 You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip.

37 I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.

38 I have wounded them, so that they could not rise; they have fallen under my feet.

39 For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

40 You have also given me the necks of my enemies, so that I destroyed those who hated me.

41 They cried out, but there was none to save; even to the LORD, but He did not answer them.

42 Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like dirt in the streets.

43 You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You have made me the head of the nations; a people I have not known shall serve me.

44 As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me.

45 The foreigners fade away, and come frightened from their hideouts.

46 The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted.

47 It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me;

48 He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.

49 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name.

50 Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore.

1 Samuel 1:19-23 :- 19 Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the LORD and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her. 20 So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the LORD for him.”

The memory Verse for today: Joshua 17:12-16:- 12 Yet the Manassites were not able to occupy these towns, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that region. 13 However, when the Israelites grew stronger, they subjected the Canaanites to forced labor but did not drive them out completely. 14 The people of Joseph said to Joshua, “Why have you given us only one allotment and one portion for an inheritance? We are a numerous people, and the LORD has blessed us abundantly.” 15 “If you are so numerous,” Joshua answered, “and if the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites.” 16 The people of Joseph replied, “The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the plain have chariots fitted with iron, both those in Beth Shan and its settlements and those in the Valley of Jezreel.”

Have you ever needed supernatural strength to face a situation head-on, but not known what to pray? God is waiting and wants to offer us strength in time of need. Do not be afraid to pray and ask God for His strength to fall upon you! When you are weak, weary or unready to stand, and unsure of what to ask, pray along with these words!

Lord, I’m weary. My energy is sagging, and my motivation is lagging. And I am so in need of you. I need your strength and your fresh touch to get back on track again. Your Word says the joy of the Lord is my strength. If that's true, then I need your joy to replace all the bone-tired parts of my mind, body, and soul.
The pressures of life sometimes push me into a corner, rendering me helpless to move forward. A hundred voices call my name, and I feel paralyzed at times to answer, not knowing where to turn. Lord, help me not to quit, to keep running the race faithfully, and to find strength in that safe, secret place of yours, under the shadow of the Almighty.
I need your strength to say no when I'm tempted to surrender to harmful things, or when selfishness clings to my clothes and won't let go. I need your strength to say yes, when cowardice and fear nudge me to deny the convictions of my heart. I need your strength to reach out in love to those both close to me and all around me. When don't I need your strength, God?
