Allieu Younge Area Coordinator Bonthe Island is constantly in touch with the Schools in his area. He visited school of churches in sierra Leone primary school. He donated a reader desk to them.

The Scripture Union Sierra Leone family and other sympathisers observed the ceremony to open and sign book of condolence in memory of Dr Amos K Lavaly on 31st October 2023. The service of the Word, hymns and tributes was officiated by Rev Dr Olivia Wesley, Rev Millicent De Souza George, Rev Marionette Fonnah (the Conductor) and Mr Sahr Yambasu (National Chairman). The tributes revealed that Brother Amos, a man of quiet disposition, loved the word of God and had strong faith in Him right from his days at Bo School.

The book of condolence was officially opened by Rev Canon Emeritus Dr Modupe Taylor-Pearce and it was signed by all present. On behalf of the family, Commissioner Simitie Lavaly Zorokong expressed gratitude to the SUSL Family and sympathisers for the celebration of her dad.
