Why do we have to pray and pray constantly? This is because prayer changes us, changes the world, and draws us nearer to God.

Find out how this is possible in simple ways!

True prayer is when we try and bare our hearts to God, tell Him what is on our heart, and when we try to align our hearts with God's, when we seek His heart.
In John Wesley's words,
"In retirement or company, in leisure, business, or conversation, his heart is ever with the Lord. Whether he lie down or rise up, God is in all his thoughts; he walks with God continually, having the loving eye of his mind still fixed upon him, and everywhere "seeing Him that is invisible."

That is praying constantly. That is why 2 Thessalonians 5 can confidently ask us to pray without ceasing.

It is so easy to utter unkind words or the first thought that passes through our heads, but what we say can build others up or tear them down.

We should learn to choose our words carefully and use them to encourage others through love.

Love One Another through encouragement because we will all need that ourselves too.

Why is giving thanks a mark of a Methodist?
When we fail to see what we have – we will complain, stumble and fall.

Giving thanks helps us to see what we have - Jesus!
When we know we have Jesus – we can rejoice in praise!

Find out why this is so!

"Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son"

Yes, we should always Give Thanks, and that is what Rev Adrian will remind us at tomorrow's service. He will be telling us how one of the 5 Marks of a Methodist is to Give Thanks.

Come and give thanks to the Lord tomorrow.

If we want to Love One Another, then we have to start with loving those in our own house. If we can't love our own family, it will be very difficult to love others.

Make time for your family today.

Where does your joy come from? If your joy is rooted in your circumstances, then it will quickly disappear when circumstances change; and we know circumstances are always changing.

What is constant is Jesus. He was, is, and always will be there for us, so make Him the foundation of your joy and you will never be disappointed when circumstances change.

Return to the source of your joy today, and abide in Him for joy flows in communion with Jesus.

There are times when some among us are unable to join us in church for long periods of time due to health conditions or mobility challenges. In such times of need, our continued love and support for them tells them they matter and remain a part of us.

We hear from Ms Merry Lum, one of our church members who was homebound after a fall, and her thankful message for the help and care she received from others in the church.

We continue exploring the 5 Marks of a Methodist, as Rev Ming brings us God's message tomorrow. She will be telling us that a Methodist Rejoices in God.

What joy and delight it is, indeed, to rejoice in our God!

Join us in rejoicing and worshipping our awesome God tomorrow!
