🌟 Mission Completed | A Sofa, A Home, A Little More Comfort 🛋️❤️

Today marks another meaningful milestone in our community care journey.

Following our earlier outreach mission to support a low-income family in Tampines East, Daoist Care Foundation (DCF), in collaboration with the PA Tampines team, has completed the final delivery of a black sofa for the family. 🙏

This may seem like a simple piece of furniture, but for this family, it represents something much more — comfort, dignity and a renewed sense of home.

The family, comprising two elderly siblings in their 70s, had been facing challenging living conditions, including a persistent bed bug issue and old, deteriorating household furnishings. With the support of our community partners, the home has undergone cleaning and pest-control treatment, and today, we were glad to see the final piece of furniture delivered to further improve their living environment. 🏠✨

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Mr Andrew Neo from May Myanmar Cleaning Services and everyone who contributed their time, resources and support to make this community initiative possible. 🤝

Most importantly, this experience reminds us that community care is not a one-day event.

It is about identifying a need, walking alongside the family, finding practical solutions and following through until the mission is truly completed.

At DCF, we believe that meaningful service is not only about giving. It is about caring, serving and restoring dignity.

When community organisations, volunteers, businesses and caring individuals come together, even a small act of kindness can make a lasting difference in someone's life. ❤️

🌟 任务圆满完成｜一张沙发，一份温暖，一份家的舒适 🛋️❤️

今天，我们又完成了一项有意义的社区关怀行动。

继早前协助淡滨尼东区一户低收入家庭改善居住环境后，道教关怀基金会（Daoist Care Foundation, DCF）继续与淡滨尼人民协会（PA Tampines）团队携手合作，今天正式完成了黑色沙发的最后配送。🙏

也许一张沙发看起来只是一件普通的家具，但对于这个家庭而言，它带来的不仅是一个新的座位，更是一份舒适、尊严与家的温暖。

这户家庭由两位70多岁的年长兄妹居住，其中一位行动较为不便。过去，他们面对床虱问题以及家具陈旧、损坏等居住环境上的困难。

在社区伙伴的共同协助下，住家已经完成清洁及专业除虫处理，而今天送上的沙发，也让我们能够进一步为他们改善生活环境，让这个家多了一份舒适与温馨。🏠✨

我们衷心感谢 May Myanmar Cleaning Services 的 Andrew Neo 先生，以及所有参与这项社区援助行动的伙伴、志愿者和热心人士。🤝

这次行动也让我们深深体会到：

社区关怀，不应该只是一天的行动，而是一份持续的陪伴。

从发现需要、伸出援手，到寻找实际解决方案，再到今天完成最后的家具配送，DCF希望真正做到的不只是“帮助一次”，而是陪伴一个家庭走过困难，并让他们重新感受到生活的尊严与温暖。

🌟 Mission Accomplished | Community Care in Action 🤝❤️

Another meaningful community outreach mission successfully completed by Daoist Care Foundation (DCF), in collaboration with Tampines PA and led by the People’s Association (PA) Tampines team. 🙏

This initiative was led by the Tampines PA team, who identified and highlighted the needs of a low-income family in Tampines East. DCF was pleased to collaborate with PA Tampines to provide practical assistance to the family.

The household is home to two elderly siblings in their 70s, with one of them having limited mobility. They had been facing difficult living conditions, including a persistent bed bug problem, as well as old and deteriorating furniture and household furnishings.

We are deeply grateful to Mr Andrew Neo from May Myanmar Cleaning Services for stepping forward to support this meaningful community initiative. Andrew assisted with the cleaning of the home and helped engage a professional pest-control contractor to address the bed bug situation. 🧹🏠

This is more than just cleaning a home.It is about restoring dignity, comfort, safety and hope to those who may be facing challenges quietly behind closed doors.

DCF is honoured to work alongside PA Tampines in reaching out to vulnerable members of our community. Through collaboration between community organisations, volunteers, businesses and caring individuals, we can turn concern into meaningful action.

🤝 Queenstown Interfaith Dialogue 2026 – Building Bridges Through Understanding 💛

It was a privilege to attend the Queenstown Interfaith Dialogue 2026, where people from different faiths and backgrounds came together in the spirit of mutual respect, friendship, and understanding.

In today's diverse society, meaningful conversations help us appreciate our differences while recognising the shared values that unite us—compassion, kindness, respect, and service to the community. Together, we can build a stronger and more harmonious Singapore.

A heartfelt thank you to Grassroots Adviser Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development, for his inspiring closing remarks and unwavering support for interfaith harmony.

Honoured to Receive the SPS Volunteer Award 2026

Today, Daoist Care Foundation Ltd (DCF) is deeply honoured to receive the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) Volunteer Award 2026, presented by Guest of Honour Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State for the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

It was a privilege to attend this meaningful event together with our Finance Director, Steven Goh, and our COO, Jacqueline Seet.

This award belongs to every one of our dedicated prison volunteers. Your unwavering commitment, compassion, and selfless service have brought hope, guidance, and encouragement to many inmates. You have willingly sacrificed your time to support their rehabilitation journey and inspire positive change. Without your dedication, Daoist Care Foundation would not have been able to fulfil our mission of serving and transforming lives.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Singapore Prison Service for your trust, partnership, and continued collaboration. Together, we remain committed to empowering inmates through care, values-based guidance, and opportunities for positive reintegration into society.

今天我也很高兴与基金会财政主管 Steven Goh 及首席营运官 Jacqueline Seet 一同出席这项意义非凡的颁奖典礼。

这项荣誉属于我们每一位默默付出的监狱义工。感谢你们长期以来无私奉献，牺牲宝贵的时间，为在囚人士提供关怀、辅导与鼓励，陪伴他们走向改过自新的人生道路。正因为有你们坚定不移的付出，道教关怀基金会才能持续实践我们的使命，为社会带来更多希望与正向改变。

In times of sorrow, our community comes together with compassion, respect and unity.

Following the recent tragic incident at Lengkok Bahru, Daoist Care Foundation (DCF) was honoured to answer the invitation from Adviser Mr Eric Chua and the Queenstown Grassroots Organisations to participate in the Community Prayer Session. We believe that regardless of race or religion, standing together in difficult times reflects the true spirit of a caring and harmonious Singapore.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr Eric Chua for taking the initiative to bring together different faith communities to offer prayers, comfort and support to the residents. Such efforts strengthen social cohesion and remind us that kindness, understanding and mutual respect are the foundations of a resilient community.

Daoist Care Foundation was privileged to have our priest, Master Eugene Choy (蔡汶家), represent us at the prayer session. Master Eugene also serves as Secretary of Hiang Tong Keng Tua Peh Kong Association (贒當宮). We pray for peace, healing and strength for the bereaved family, the residents and everyone affected by this unfortunate incident.

May compassion overcome conflict, and may unity continue to guide our community forward.

Changing Lives Through Taoist Values, One Heart at a Time

At Daoist Care Foundation (DCF), we believe that every individual deserves an opportunity to reflect, learn and begin a new chapter in life.

Through our weekly Taoist Prison Counselling Programme, our committed volunteers journey alongside inmates by sharing authentic Taoist teachings, meditation, moral values, self-discipline and personal reflection. Every session is designed to nurture inner transformation, inspire hope and encourage positive change through compassion, wisdom and virtue.

Our recent sessions covered topics including:
✨ The importance of daily Taoist practice (早晚课) and self-discipline.
✨ Meditation as a pathway to inner peace and personal transformation.
✨ The true history and values of Taoist masters, correcting common misconceptions.
✨ Inspiring life stories that remind us it is never too late to change.
✨ Meaningful discussions on kindness, humility, responsibility and doing good according to one's conscience.

One inmate shared that despite being a Taoist previously, he had never had the opportunity to learn authentic Taoist teachings until joining our programme. Such feedback reminds us why this mission is so meaningful.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our dedicated volunteers who faithfully serve every week. Your compassion and commitment continue to make a lasting impact.

Giving Hope, Inspiring Change, One Saturday at a Time.

Today, as every Saturday, our dedicated Daoist Care Foundation volunteers conducted our prison outreach programme. We are excited to introduce new chapters and meaningful topics that encourage reflection, personal growth, and positive values among the inmates.

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers for faithfully dedicating your time and effort every Saturday. Your compassion, commitment, and selfless service continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
