卫塞节庆典圆满举行
共沐佛恩，同沾法喜
今天是全球佛弟子普天同庆的卫塞节。卫塞节是纪念佛陀释迦牟尼世尊诞生、成道及涅槃的殊胜日子，对佛教徒而言具有极其深远的意义。
本寺今日举行卫塞节庆典法会，由本寺僧众带领护法善信诵经礼佛、浴佛净心、供养三宝、奉灯献花，共同缅怀佛陀的慈悲与智慧，并藉此殊胜因缘培植福德资粮，增长善根。
卫塞节不仅是一个纪念佛陀的节日，更是一个让我们反思生命与实践佛法的重要时刻。佛陀示现于世，教导众生离苦得乐之道，启发我们以慈悲待人、以智慧处世，学习放下贪、瞋、痴，培养善良、包容与感恩的心。
在今日这个充满挑战与变化的时代，佛陀的教诲依然具有重要的现实意义。我们应以慈悲关怀社会，以正念面对生活，以和平化解纷争，共同建设一个和谐、安定与充满善意的社会。
身处多元文化、多元宗教的新加坡，我们尤其珍惜得来不易的宗教与种族和谐。佛教教导众生平等、尊重包容，这与新加坡促进不同宗教与族群之间互相理解、互相尊重的精神不谋而合。作为佛弟子，我们应实践佛陀慈悲与和合的教导，以开放与包容的态度与各宗教及族群和睦共处，共同维护社会的团结与稳定，为国家的繁荣与和平贡献力量。
值此卫塞佳节之际，谨祝愿：
佛光普照，正法久住；
国泰民安，社会和谐；
风调雨顺，世界和平；
一切众生离苦得乐，早证菩提。

Vesak Day Celebration | Rejoicing in the Buddha’s Compassion and Wisdom
Today, Buddhists around the world joyfully celebrate Vesak Day, the most sacred occasion commemorating the Birth, Enlightenment, and Parinibbāna of the Sakyamuni Buddha.
Our Monastery marked this auspicious occasion with a Vesak Day celebration led by the resident Sangha. Devotees and supporters gathered to participate in chanting, the ceremonial bathing of the Buddha, offerings to the Triple Gem, and the offering of lamps and flowers. Through these wholesome acts, we paid homage to the Buddha’s boundless compassion and wisdom while cultivating merit and spiritual growth.
Vesak Day is not merely a commemoration of the Buddha’s life; it is also an opportunity for us to reflect deeply on the teachings that continue to guide humanity today. The Buddha appeared in this world to show beings the path leading from suffering to liberation. His teachings inspire us to cultivate compassion, wisdom, mindfulness, gratitude, and inner peace while letting go of greed, hatred, and delusion.
In an ever-changing world filled with challenges and uncertainties, the Buddha’s teachings remain profoundly relevant. By practising kindness, understanding, and mindfulness in our daily lives, we can contribute to a more peaceful, harmonious, and caring society.
As Buddhists living in Singapore’s multicultural and multi-religious society, we are especially grateful for the precious harmony that exists among different faiths and communities. The Buddha taught respect, compassion, and the equality of all beings. These values resonate strongly with Singapore’s commitment to fostering religious and racial harmony. As followers of the Buddha, we should continue to embody these principles by promoting mutual respect, understanding, and goodwill among people of all backgrounds, thereby contributing to the unity, stability, and prosperity of our nation.
On this joyous Vesak Day, we offer our heartfelt prayers and aspirations:
May the Buddha’s light illuminate the world.
May the True Dharma endure for generations to come.
May our nation enjoy peace, harmony, and prosperity.
May the world be free from conflict and suffering.
May all beings be blessed with happiness, peace, and wisdom.
