๐€ ๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ. ๐€ ๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ .

As we welcome Awal Muharram 1448H, the blessed Kaabah will once again be adorned with a new Kiswah this Tuesday nightโ€”a beautiful tradition that marks the beginning of a new Islamic year.

For Muslims around the world, this moment is more than a ceremonial change. It is a reminder that just as the covering of the House of Allah is renewed, our hearts too can be renewed.

The Hijri calendar begins with the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ, a journey that teaches us about faith, sacrifice, trust in Allah, and the courage to leave behind what stands between us and His pleasure.

While most of us will never undertake a migration like that of the Prophet ๏ทบ, every Muharram invites us to make a different kind of hijrah:

โœ”๏ธ A hijrah away from sins we keep postponing repentance for.
โœ”๏ธ A hijrah away from habits that distance us from Allah.
โœ”๏ธ A hijrah away from distractions that occupy our hearts more than His remembrance.

The Prophet ๏ทบ said:
"The migrant is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden." (Bukhari)

As we begin 1448H, perhaps the question is not where we need to go, but what we need to leave behind.

May this new year be a fresh start for all of usโ€”a year of sincere repentance, renewed intentions, beneficial deeds, and greater closeness to Allah (SWT).

From the Philippines, Indonesia to Peru, Paraguay, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela & Brazil in South America, your sacrifice has reached communities across the world this Aiduladha.

Jazakumullahu khayran for your trust, sincerity, and generosity throughout this blessed season. May Allah accept your Qurban, multiply your rewards, and place barakah in all that you give.

In Surah Al-Hajj (36โ€“38), Allah reminds us that the animals of Qurban are among the symbols of Islam, gifted to us as a means to remember Him and draw closer to Him. ๐Ÿ•‹

But then Allah mentions something powerful:
โ€œTheir meat and blood do not reach Allah โ€” what reaches Him is your taqwa.โ€ ๐Ÿค

Meaning:
Allah is not in need of the sacrifice.
Rather, Qurban is for us โ€” to learn sincerity, obedience, gratitude, and submission.

These verses also teach us the beauty of sharing. After sacrifice, believers are encouraged to feed others, especially those in need. Eid al-Adha was never meant to be selfish. It is a season of generosity, mercy, and remembering the ummah.

And Allah ends these verses with reassurance:
โ€œIndeed, Allah defends those who believe.โ€ ๐ŸŒ™

A reminder that when we obey Allah sincerely, trust Him, and sacrifice for His sakeโ€ฆ Allah never abandons His servants.

So maybe the real question this Eid is not only what we are sacrificing โ€” but whether our hearts are becoming closer to Allah through it.

During Tawaf, millions circle the Kaabah together. ๐Ÿ•‹

Different languages.
Different races.
Different countries.
Yet everyone wears simple garments, walking side by side before Allah. ๐Ÿค

No luxury.
No status.
No titles.

Because in Islam, no one is above another except through taqwa.

The rich walk beside the poor.
Leaders walk beside workers.
Strangers move as one Ummah around the House of Allah.

Tawaf is more than movement.
It is a reminder that this dunya status means nothing if the heart is distant from Allah.

The real honour is not wealth, followers, or fame.
The real honour is piety. ๐ŸŒ™

โ€œIn the sight of Allah, the most honoured among you are those most righteous.โ€ (49:13)

May Allah grant us hearts full of humility and allow us to be among those closest to Him.
