The Servants of the Lord Community (“SOL”) was started in 1986 by a group of University of Michigan graduates who had experienced Community life in University Christian Outreach (UCO), the student outreach arm of the Sword o
f the Spirit. In 1988, members from the National University of Singapore Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group joined the group of brothers. SOL has since grown into a community consisting of married couples, single adults and children. In 1993, the name “Servants of the Lord” was adopted after being revealed to the group through prophecy and discernment. In 1994, Servants of the Lord was registered as a society under the Registrar of Societies.
