The Twin God of Harmony are widely revered deities of good fortune. Legend says they are the incarnations of two eminent monks, Hanshan and Shide, symbolising harmony, reunion and happiness. They are often depicted holding a lotus flower and a round box which sound like the Chinese words for harmony and union. Because of this, they are auspicious symbols for building better relationships, finding love and achieving good fortune through harmony.

Kim Lan Beo will be celebrating the birthday of the Twin God of Harmony on 6 August, Thursday at 2pm. We welcome all devotees to visit Kim Lan Beo and register for the blessings ritual to pray for:

Goddess Golden Flower is a revered deity among the Hokkien and Cantonese communities. She is widely regarded as the goddess of fertility and child protection, bestowing blessings of conception, safeguarding pregnancies and watching over the healthy growth of children.

Kim Lan Beo will be celebrating the birthday of Goddess Golden Flower on 2 June (Tuesday) and devotees seeking fertility, smooth pregnancies and the well-being of their children are welcomed to purchase blessing items at the temple.

金兰庙将于清明节（4月4日，星期六）早上9点至下午3点，在金兰庙功德堂举行清明节法会，恭请法师为先人恭诵《销释金刚科仪宝卷》超度，同时为众善信阖家祈福，善信可为先人报名法会追荐功德，福泽后世：https://tinyurl.com/KLBQMJ26。凡报名法会将先人姓名列于疏文者，金兰庙均敬备斋食果品冥金悉心供奉。清明节法会亦欢迎善信参与诵经，纪念先人。

🙏按习俗善信可在清明节前后10天到庙祭拜先人。善信若自备斋食果品冥纸，祭拜后请自行清理，凡在庙内购买之冥纸先人包袱祭品等可在本庙祖先金炉焚化。敬拜先人，意在心诚，顾及环保，敬请酌减冥纸包袱份量。清明时节忆亲人，让我们一起感念、感恩。🙏

🙏QING MING REMEMBRANCE PRAYER RITUAL🙏

Kim Lan Beo will mark Qing Ming Remembrance Day (4 April) with Buddhist prayer rituals from 9am to 3pm. The Ritual Commentary on the Diamond Sutra will be recited to offer deliverance and dedicate merits to the ancestors. Devotees are welcomed to register for the transference of merits for one’s ancestors or departed loved ones: https://tinyurl.com/KLBQMJ26. All registered ancestors'/loving departed names will be listed on the ritual scripture, and duly served with vegetarian meals, fruits and joss paper sets.

🙏According to customs, devotees may pay respects to their ancestors/loving departed enshrined at the Kim Lan Beo Ancestral Hall 10 days before and after the Qing Ming Remembrance Day. We urge devotees to clear all food, fruits and joss paper sets they brought in, after prayer. We sincerely apologise that the temple will only allow burning of offering items bought at the temple.

The 3rd solar term jingzhe (5 March) is the day when all living things awaken from hibernation and it is believed that the 🐯 Tiger Deity will also awake and open its mouth at the jingzhe moment – 9:59pm. To appease the Tiger Deity, devotees are welcomed to offer pork lard and fresh eggs, and seek blessings for good fortune and protection against villains! On 24 Feb, we welcome all devotees to give thanks and offerings to Jade Emperor from 6pm onwards and Taoist rituals will start at 11:45pm. Devotees can purchase the Jade Emperor Crown and Gown, as well as the Jade Emperor Joss Paper (Deluxe) to express their sincerity and respect to the celestial deities, and to pray for the happiness, prosperity, safety and health for the whole family, and that in this new year, the Jade Emperor will continue to bestow his blessings.

🪷During Amitābha Buddha’s Birthday on 5 January 2026 (Monday), Kim Lan Beo will be inviting venerables to conduct an Ancestors’ Deliverance and Merit-Dedication Ritual from 9am to 3pm. Sutra of Threefold Meditation will be recited to offer deliverance and dedicate merits to the ancestors, wishing that they “be free from all suffering and enjoy only bliss” while expressing our gratitude, remembrance, and accumulating merits for future generations.
