A meaningful afternoon of learning, blessings and guidance. 🌿

Last Sunday, 175 participants gathered for our Career Blessing Puja, beginning with a thought-provoking talk on “The Career Skill Nobody Taught You”.

The session sparked great engagement as participants explored an often-overlooked skill that can make a meaningful difference in the workplace.

This was followed by the blessing session, with praises to Green Tara, the Bodhisattva associated with swift assistance and overcoming obstacles, as participants prayed for support and auspicious conditions in their career journeys. 🙏

The session concluded with an optional Divination Lot Reading, allowing participants to seek further guidance from Green Tara regarding their career situations.

🙏 Three Steps. One Bow. One Sincere Heart.

On Singapore’s 61st National Day, 715 participants came together for 三步一拜 (Three Steps, One Bow) as part of BW Monastery’s Double Auspicious Celebrations.

With every three steps and every bow, participants cultivated sincerity and repentance, aspiring to clear obstacles and cultivate blessings on this auspicious day.

Together with the Refuge Ceremony, this special National Day programme was a meaningful way to celebrate our nation — not only with joy, but also through the practice of gratitude, reflection and compassion.

May the merits of our practice be dedicated to Singapore and all its people. May our nation continue to flourish in peace and harmony. 🇸🇬🙏

This National Day weekend, nearly 3,000 participants gathered for the Five Precepts, Refuge Taking, and Mahayana Refuge Ceremony.

Out of his great compassion, Senior Venerable Jing Yuan bestowed upon participants the precious opportunity to take refuge in the Triple Gem and undertake the Five Precepts. Through his Dharma teachings, he shared the profound significance and benefits of taking refuge and observing the precepts, inspiring all to establish a strong and steadfast foundation for their spiritual practice.

Refuge Taking is an annual event held as part of our Double Auspicious Celebration, commemorating both Singapore’s 61st National Day and BW Monastery’s 24th anniversary.

As Singapore celebrated another year of nationhood, many also embarked on a new beginning on the path of the Dharma. May the merits of this meaningful occasion bring lasting peace, wisdom, and blessings to all. 🇸🇬🙏

A Day of Blessings, Milestones & Togetherness

On 8th August 2026, just before Singapore’s National Day, BW Monastery came alive with love, blessings and a wonderful community spirit!

This Pet Blessing Puja marked several special milestones for us:

🧸 Our first-ever Plushy Blessing:
Extending our blessings beyond our beloved pets to the plushies that hold a special place in our hearts.

🏮 Our booths came alive:
Bringing together a variety of activities, offerings, and moments for everyone to explore and enjoy with their pets.

🐾 A Full House!
Seeing the space filled with devotees, families, pet lovers and friends made the celebration truly unforgettable.

From our furry companions to our treasured plushies, every blessing was a reminder of the love, compassion and connections we share with all living beings. 🙏🏻✨

A heartfelt thank you to Senior Venerable Jing Yuan for his inspiring Dharma discourse on the significance of taking refuge, and to everyone who joined us in making this occasion so meaningful.

Here’s to more moments of kindness, blessings and togetherness. 💛

(This notice is only for Refuge-taking Ceremony registered participants who have requested for certificates. Certificates for Five Precepts and Mahayana Refuge will be distributed during the ceremony.)

To facilitate a smooth certificate collection experience, we have arranged a pre-Puja collection window. Details as above.

💎 A special note: Venerable will personally bless all refuge certificates during the ceremony. While certificates not collected before the Puja will also be blessed in the hall, collecting yours beforehand means you can hold your own certificate in your hands as it receives the Venerable’s blessings — a truly meaningful experience!
Certificate collection will also be available after the Puja — please look out for on-site instructions.

🎵 Joyous Rhapsody – The Path of a Practitioner 🎵

What does the Path of a Practitioner look like? Through music, song, and heartfelt performances, this year‘s Joyous Rhapsody invited audiences to join us in discovering the journey together.

Held on 25 July at BW Monastery, the concert brought together 646 participants, including 122 performers, 50 volunteers, and 474 audience members, for two memorable shows filled with inspiration and joy.

From traditional ensembles and choirs to our youth band and award-winning vocal groups, every performance was a heartfelt offering dedicated to sharing the path to enlightenment through the arts.

Thank you to everyone who performed, volunteered, and joined us. We look forward to welcoming you again at the next Joyous Rhapsody! 💛
