We’re so encouraged — our event on April 18 was fully booked! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came down to learn about creating Wills and understanding important legal matters for our elderly loved ones. These aren’t always easy conversations, but they are so important.

One key takeaway?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) allows someone you trust to make decisions for you if you’re ever unable to. It’s a simple step that brings peace of mind to you and your family.

We’re also so thankful for brother Christopher Chuah, who continues to serve the Balam community faithfully. His heart reminds us that:
Serving God = serving people in ways that truly help.

Let’s continue to care for our families not just spiritually, but practically too. 💛

At NLCC, we believe the Great Commission isn't just a calling — it's a lifestyle. And part of loving our neighbours well is helping them plan wisely for the future. 💛

We're partnering with Balam RN to host a FREE talk on Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and Wills, because protecting the people we love is an act of service too.

📍 Block 31 Balam Road (Collab Space)
📅 Saturday, 18 April 2026
🕑 2pm – 4pm
👥 Limited to 25 seats! And as of right now, we're full and not taking anymore sign ups!

If you've ever felt the nudge to serve your community in practical ways, this is one of them. The enthusiasm for our sign ups means that we'll need to be doing more events like this. Thank you for your support.

“God answered in ways that exceeded anything I could have imagined… such acts of humble service spoke volumes of God’s love at work through His people.” — Tricia, NLCC Singapore 🇸🇬

This powerful moment from our Family Day Carnival captures how love truly became visible through laughter, service, and unity. From volunteers braving the rain to serve the Balam community, to hearts being lifted across generations, this was more than an event — it was God’s love in action.

🙏❤️

💛 Learning to Receive His Love

In this season where love is often highlighted, we’re invited to pause and look deeper — beyond feelings, moments, or expectations — to the love that comes from God Himself.

God’s love is not distant or theoretical. It is personal and sacrificial, revealed fully through Jesus. The cross reminds us that we are loved not because of who we are or what we’ve done, but because of who He is.

Every heart carries a hunger for love, meaning, and belonging. That hunger is not a weakness — it’s an invitation, drawing us back to our Creator. And when we truly encounter His love, we are not only comforted, but awakened.

Our response is simply this: to receive His love with humility, trust Him with our hearts, and live anchored in the love that never fades.

🙏 “We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

Not every testimony is loud.
Sometimes, it looks like patience.
Like listening first.
Like choosing not to gossip.
Pastor William reminded us this January:

✨ “By this, all will know that you are My disciples—if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
Let’s be a people who protect unity.
Who forgive quickly.
Who reflect Jesus in how we relate.

📖 “Love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)

What started as a simple idea — reusing ang baos to create lanterns — turned into a beautiful gathering of our community.

From kids to seniors, neighbours and families, friends and first-timers…
At one point, there was even a line outside the venue 😮

Our members stepped up, handed out flyers, shared smiles, and welcomed everyone in — and just like that, community was formed.

This is what we love about NLCC — when generations come together, creativity sparks conversations, and strangers become friends. Thank you to everyone who came, served, created, and made this day so special. 💛

Jesus didn’t come just for December.
He came to walk with us — through every month, every moment, every mess.
As Pastor William reminded us:
The Word became flesh and made His home with us.
He didn’t stay far off. He stepped into our weakness, our humanity, our questions.
💡 The new year isn’t about making ourselves better — it’s about drawing nearer to the One who already came close.
As we step into 2026, the invitation is still open:
👣 Come and see.
👣 Follow daily.
👣 Seek Him with your whole heart.
Whether your year starts with joy, doubt, or uncertainty — you don’t walk it alone.
📖 Psalm 34:8 — “Taste and see that the Lord is good…”
💾 Save this for reflection.

Sometimes we think God is far…
But what if He’s been speaking quietly this whole time? ✨

Whether you’re drifting, doubting, or just “not sure”… He hasn’t let go of you.
And we’re here for you too — a family that listens, prays, and journeys together.
