Tien Sen Tua Temple is well known as a non-profit organization. Our presence is to propagate Taoism and focus on community works. Our main deity is Justice Bao (包府千岁恩主), with more than 70 years of history. Our temple conducts deity’s consultation on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, starting from 8.30pm onwards. Tien Sen Tua (Tian Sheng Tan) was founded in 1940 as a Monkey King (Qi Tian Da Sheng
) temple, which explains how the temple got its name. Due to a dream by a temple's committe member, Tien Sen Tua was transformed into a Justice Bao's temple in the 1960s, and became the first temple in Singapore dedicated to the worship of Justice Bao. Tien Sen Tua started at Hougang 4th milestone, in a village largely owned by *Lim Loh. Most of the villagers went by the surname Lim and with ancestry traced to Nan'an, Fujian. The temple moved to Daisy Garden in 1954, and to Braddell Road in 1964. Due to land acquisition by the government, Tien Sen Tua partnered with Sze Hock Keng to build Tien Sen Sze Hock Combined Temple, which was completed in 1993.
