On behalf of Hiang Tong Keng, Master Chia travelled to Malaysia today, to participate in the petition and banner raising rituals for the upcoming Grand Puja held by 馬來西亞慈惠堂 Chihui Tang KL.

May this year’s Grand Puja be carried out smoothly and successfully, bring blessings to the nation and people, as well as benefit both the living and departed. ☯️

贒當宮经忏团于2025年5月9日至12日回到香港蓬瀛仙館，同庆纯阳吕祖师宝诞千秋！这几天里，我们有幸参与多项科仪，与祖庭的同门道长一起诵经礼忏、学习交流！☯️

同时本宫经忏导师惟忠道长徒弟蔡懋玄道长，以及新加坡全真教化协会庄惟义道长二位弟子于祖庭蓬瀛仙馆举行初登法座及四位经师拜师典礼！

From 9 to 12 May 2025, Hiang Tong Keng Scripture Chanting Group returned to 蓬瀛仙館 Fung Ying Seen Koon in Hong Kong, to celebrate the birthday of Patriarch Lü! ☯️

Over these few days, we were honoured to have participated in various rituals, chanting scriptures together and engaging with fellow Taoist priests from our ancestral temple.

At the same time, we witnessed a significant moment as Master Vincent Choy, together with Master Elan Sim and Master Steven Ong from 新加坡全真教化協會 Quan Zhen Cultural Society held their ascension to high priest ceremonies! We would also like to congratulate Master Chung Kwang Tong, on the official acceptance of four new disciples under his tutelage!

即将到来的星期天（农历四月十四）是纯阳吕祖师的宝诞千秋！大家必知祂乃八仙之一，但你们是否知道，吕祖也是全真教所尊奉的祖师？

☯️吕祖名为吕喦，字洞宾，道号纯阳子；世称纯阳祖师、孚佑帝君等圣号
☯️吕祖原为唐朝生于官宦世家的才子，虽两举进士不第，却也因而游山时得遇正阳祖师钟离权
☯️钟离祖师先以「黄粱一梦」点化吕祖名利富贵皆虚幻，世事无常，成为了祂立志修道的契机
☯️后来钟离祖师再以「十试吕祖」考验吕祖心性，见其诚信坚定而收祂为徒，并正式传授道术丹法
☯️吕祖勤力修道，最终于鄂州黄鹤楼羽化飞升，位列仙班
☯️纯阳吕祖师成道后，曾立誓度尽天下有缘人，常以各样方式度化众生，后尊列为全真北五祖之一，至今深受后世弟子敬仰

化身为三教之师，掌法判五雷之令。
黄粱梦觉，忘世上之功名。

纯阳演政，警化孚佑帝君，兴行妙道天尊。

This upcoming Sunday is the fourteenth day of the fourth lunar month, which is also the birthday of Patriarch Lü. He is well-known as one of the Eight Immortals, but did you know he is also honoured as a key patriarch of the Quanzhen school?

☯️Born into a family of scholars as Lü Yan during the Tang dynasty, Patriarch Lü was gifted from a young age himself, well-versed in the classics and texts
☯️Although he would fail the imperial examinations twice, it was during his travels afterward that he encountered the immortal, Zhongli Quan
☯️Patriarch Zhongli first awakened Patriarch Lü to the realisation that worldly pursuits are impermanent through the “Dream of the Yellow Millet”, inspiring him to pursue the Dao
☯️Later, Patriarch Zhongli tested Patriarch Lü’s sincerity through ten trials, before accepting him as a disciple and teaching him how to cultivate into an immortal like himself
☯️Through diligent cultivation, Patriarch Lü ultimately attained immortality, ascending into heaven at the Yellow Crane Tower and joining the celestial ranks
☯️Vowing to liberate all beings and guide them towards the Dao, Patriarch Lü was later honoured as one of the five northern patriarchs of the Quanzhen school, and continues to be deeply revered by disciples today

Hiang Tong Keng has been invited by Chi Hui Tang Malaysia to participate in this year’s Grand Puja, an international-level collaborative ceremony which involves multiple temples and groups performing Taoist and Buddhist rituals. Undertaking the Northern Emperor Altar of Dispelling Plagues, we shall jointly pray for peace and prosperity, as well as world harmony.
