𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗱𝘂𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 - 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Through teaching our young to fold these “Jesus Invites”, we form their faith.
Through folding these “Jesus Invites”, we bond as a community.
Through distributing these “Jesus Invites”, we evangelise to our community and beyond.
Through offering the prayer petitions that these “Jesus Invites” now contain, we draw one another closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all parishioners, and our catechism classes (catechists and children) who lovingly folded the thousands of Jesus Invites. 4600 were received over the Triduum and Feast Day celebrations. They are now placed at the side altars in the sanctuary and these prayer petitions will be offered every Friday during the Devotion to the Sacred Heart.

𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 - 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆

Almighty Father, we thank you for the gift of Your Son and the graces that you have provided us with to celebrate our Triduum and Parish Feast Day.

May we continue to draw strength from the fire of Your love, burning with mercy and hope for the broken world today.

We pray that you will continue to provide all of us with the graces to serve you with humility and charity as one family in Christ. Amen.

Blessed Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus!

An extract from Cardinal Goh’s homily:

“The heart of Jesus is both divine, and yet it is human. That is why the love of God is portrayed in the human heart of Jesus, because Jesus is truly God and truly man. In order to know the heart of God, we need to know the heart of Jesus. The only way we know that God understands us, and that God is with us, and that God never gives up on us, even when we fail and we sin against Him, is when we look at Jesus, who never gives up on us, Jesus who journeys with us in life, Jesus who continues to love us. That is why to come to Jesus is the way by which the Father, the Lord, perceives His heart.”

A sea of faithful hearts gathered as one, answering the invitation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Just as the crowds followed Christ wherever He went, so we come to Him today—not merely out of curiosity, but because His Heart remains the source of mercy, peace, and salvation.
