LuangPu Hong Brahmapañño (also known as Luangphor Hong, LP Hong, 龙婆宏 / 龙婆洪) was one of Thailand’s most respected guru monks, famous for his compassion, meditation practice, sacred blessings, and powerful amulets.
Early Life
LuangPu Hong was born on 5 March 1918 in Surin Province, Thailand. His birth name was Suwan Hong Chamuadi. He came from a farming family and was the eldest among several siblings. From a young age, he was known to be hardworking, humble, and deeply interested in Buddhism.
At around 18 years old, he ordained as a novice monk at Wat Phetburi. What was initially meant to be a short ordination became a lifelong spiritual path after several profound religious experiences.
Spiritual Training
After his ordination, LuangPu Hong studied Buddhist scriptures, meditation, and ancient Khmer spiritual knowledge. He later travelled to Cambodia, where he spent many years learning from numerous masters and practicing intensive meditation. Many accounts state that he studied under more than 100 teachers and spent decades deepening his mastery of sacred Buddhist and Khmer esoteric traditions.
He became highly respected for:

Abbot of Wat Phetburi
In 1973, LuangPu Hong became the abbot of Wat Phetburi. Under his leadership, the temple became an important Buddhist and charitable center in Surin Province.
He was also known for:

* Protecting animals and forests
* Supporting education and temple development
* Performing blessings for devotees from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other countries
Many followers believed he possessed strong spiritual power and compassion, and stories of miraculous protection and blessings became widespread among devotees.

Passing
