Objectives
(i) To propagate the Buddhist teachings as taught by Śākyamuni Buddha, and pursue the true Buddhist spirit and practice for all laypeople so as to achieve a humanitarian society in Singapore;
(ii) To strive for the advancement of the Association spiritually and in knowledge;
(iii) To sustain worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine;
(iv) To organize and conduct Buddhist seminar
s, forums, discussions, dialogue, studies and cultural activities towards national loyalty;
(v) To support and enhance moral education through Buddhism, particularly in the area of drug addiction, crime prevention and corruption;
(vi) To promote the publication and circulation of literature and other materials pertaining to Buddhism;
(vii) To contribute to the support of the ritual rites;
(viii) To contribute to the support of charitable organizations;
(ix) To regulate the activities of the Members to promote family harmony and community and welfare activities; and
(x) To promote friendship, religious knowledge and cultural exchanges among members of other similar associations whether within or without Singapore.
