Society for the Promotion of Buddhism Established in 1965, Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai (BDK), founded by the late Rev. Your support means the world to us.

Dr. Yehan Numata, also the founder of Mitutoyo Corporation. BDK is now recognized as a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation by the Japanese government since April 1, 2013. BDK's mission is to propagate Buddhist wisdom and symbiotic spirit in Japanese culture through cultural activities and academic programs. We believe in the interconnectedness of all things, as expressed in Buddhism's concept

of interdependent co-arising. We promote compassion, symbiosis, and coexistence, recognizing that we depend on nature and others for our existence. BDK is non-sectarian, fostering Buddhist wisdom from diverse traditions for the greater goal of global peace and harmony. Thank you for being part of our journey.

We are delighted to share that we have completed the delivery of 370 "The Teaching of Buddha" (TTOB) books to Maechee Anothai. These books are a light of wisdom, soon to be in the hands of:

 The youth at Wat Asokaram: Empowering the next generation with peace and mindfulness.
 The participants of International Women’s Day (March 7-8): Celebrating the strength and spirit of women through the timeless teachings of the Buddha.

May these pages bring clarity and peace to every reader.

BDK Thailand Foundation is proud to continue its mission of sharing universal Dhamma on an international scale. We have recently delivered 344 copies of the book "The Teaching of Buddha" (English/Japanese and Thai) to representatives of Maison Hotel Bangkok.
These books will be placed in guest rooms to provide international travelers and guests with easy access to the principle of Buddhist teachings. We remain firm in our belief that "print media" continues to be a powerful tool for conveying peace and wisdom, especially within the diverse and welcoming environment of the hospitality industry.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the management team of Maison Hotel Bangkok for their warm hospitality and for partnering with us in this meaningful creativity.

We are honored to announce that today, January 23, 2026, BDK Thailand successfully distributed a total of 520 TTOB books to the Thai Red Cross Society at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

These resources were shared across two key departments to support both staff and patients:

Nursing Department: 203 books

Protocol Department: 317 books

At BDK Thailand, we believe in the power of knowledge to provide comfort and guidance. A massive thank you to the team at Chulalongkorn Hospital for their warm welcome and for the incredible work they do for the community every day

The Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai Foundation Thailand paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Nualanong Thammacharoen, Director of Chitralada Vocational School, Chitralada Institute of Technology, to introduce the foundation and present the book The Teaching of the Buddha during the Academic Open House event, Open House of Learning, on 20 November 2025, at Chitralada Vocational School, Chitralada Institute of Technology

BDK Thailand donated 203 TTOB books to Nursing Department of Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society on July 25th, 2025.
The Nursing Department has kindly shared the books with various patient wards to spread knowledge and encouragement.
