Sheng Hong Temple (yang tao yuan cheng huang miao) was founded in 1926 at Yang Tao Yuan (a village at Pasir Panjang 10th milestone), with 'Joss Ash' from Koo Chye Ba Sheng Hong Temple - the temple that received its statue of Cheng Huang Ye (City God) directly from Cheng Huang Miao (City God temple) in Anxi, Fujian, China. In the 1970s, Sheng Hong Temple was affected by urban redevelopment and its management committee purchased the land at the current location to build a new temple, which was consecrated in 1980. The wall of the main hall is painted with scenes from the Ten Courts of Hell, depicting the ten Yama Kings and the Hell guards meting out punishments. The Chinese believe that when people passed away, the sinners face punishments in the 'Ten Courts of Hell' to prepare for their reincarnation. Wan Shou Shi, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the worship Guanyin, was built as an extension to Sheng Hong Temple in 1989

杨桃园城隍庙所供奉的主神称为清溪显佑伯主(安溪城隍爷)，源自福建安溪城隍庙，最初安奉在大坡当店巷的一间布袋戏馆内，后来成为今日的《韭菜芭城隍庙》。1926年香火从韭菜芭城隍庙分炉到杨桃园安奉，因此每年显佑伯主圣诞都会邀请韭菜芭城隍庙的显佑伯主金身前来看酬神戏。七十年代杨桃园城隍庙受政府征用土地的影响而购买现址的地皮兴建新庙，并于1980年落成晋庙。
正殿墙上有地狱十殿的彩绘，描述十殿阎罗与阴军如何惩罚善少恶多者。
1989年杨桃园城隍庙增设佛堂万寿寺,主奉观音佛祖。
