Straight Edge Hardcore outfit Modern Guilt are back with their debut full-length “Mind The Trap”. Without question their heaviest, hardest, and most urgent release to date. Built to hit fast and hit hard, this is hardcore in its purest form: raw, relentless, and designed to knock you off your boots in roughly 15 minutes. No filler, no overthinking, just fierce hardcore the way it was meant to be!
Born early 2024 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Modern Guilt set out to channel the raw energy of ’80s hardcore, pulling influence from the genre’s pioneers while keeping it sharp and current. Expect the spirit of Negative Approach, Youth of Today, Cro-Mags & Uniform Choice, topped with a modern edge and enough hooks to have you ready to move upfront after the first listen.
“Mind The Trap” captures Modern Guilt as a fully formed band, tighter, heavier, and more dynamic than the earlier releases. Recorded live and mixed by Per Stålberg at Welfare Sounds Studios (August 2025) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, the album sounds exactly how it should: clear, aggressive, and loud.
Featuring members past and present of Subject to Change, Division of Laura Lee, Anchor, Eyes Shut, Pablo Matisse, Out of Vogue, Sharp Tongues and more, Modern Guilt brings conviction to every second of this record.
