Next visit ahead - Kosovo here we come. ✨💫

As May continues to be a busy month for our team, we're thrilled to announce our upcoming second step meeting in Kosovo next week, in collaboration with the CNVP platform. Together, we are working towards implementing Nordic Bioenergy solutions in Kosovo, and the potential for growth and innovation is great!

This meeting will bring together representatives from local industries and municipalities, fostering dialogue and collaboration. We're also organizing study tours to provide valuable insights and hands-on experience.

Reflecting on our cooperation, our first meeting in Stockholm last month was a great success, and we encourage everyone to check out the short report in our April BioInt Bytes.

🚀 On March 26–27, 2026, I’ll be in Mikołajki, Poland for the 15th spring edition of the Biomass and RDF Forum for Heating, Power and Industry, organized by PowerMeetings.eu.

It looks like a really solid meeting point for the whole value chain — from fuel producers and tech providers to energy companies and industry experts. A good place to exchange ideas, catch up on what’s happening in the market, and get a sense of where bioenergy is heading.

👉 Poland is clearly stepping into a much bigger role in the energy transition. It’s not just “potential” anymore - it’s a market that’s moving, and I keep hearing more and more questions around opportunities and investments there. I’m curious to better understand what’s really going on locally - trends, regulations, supply chains - and hopefully get some answers during the forum.
Also, on a personal note - my Polish side is definitely waking up a bit. I’m proud to be Polish, I speak the language, understand the culture, and it feels natural to connect the local perspective with international contacts.

🛎️ At Bioenergy International, we’re also thinking a lot about how we can use our network to bring people together and create more collaboration across the industry. If you’re looking to tap into that, make sure to become our partner and take advantage of the connections we can offer.

💪 If you’re going to be there, let’s meet.

🌟 See you in Mikołajki!

We visited Söderenergi AB in Södertälje to learn about their ambitious BECCS project — a major step toward large-scale carbon capture and storage in Sweden. The project aims to begin construction after a final investment decision and be operational by 2030, capturing 500,000 tonnes of biogenic CO₂ each year to support climate targets.
