Machine control is becoming more connected, assisted and intelligent.

Together with TERNA Systems, SVAB is exploring how haptic feedback in the A9 joystick grip can add a new communication layer between the machine and the operator.

By allowing important machine-control information to be felt directly in the joystick, the operator can receive more intuitive support when the machine or bucket approaches predefined zones.

Haptic feedback does not replace visual alerts, audible warnings or automated safety functions. It adds another way for the machine to communicate with the operator.

På SVAB arbetar vi för att minska vår miljöpåverkan genom ett aktivt miljöarbete. Som en del av vår miljöstrategi arbetar vi också med lokala initiativ för att påverka miljön där vi verkar. Där föddes idén om en skräpplockardag, där hela företaget tillsammans gick ut för att förbättra vår omgivning.

“Våra medarbetare visade ett enormt engagemang och samlade ihop allt från cigarettfimpar till metallskrot längs vägkanterna. Vi möttes dessutom av glada hejarop från förbipasserande, så det går inte att kalla det annat än en succé!” – Märta, hållbarhetsansvarig

From the stage in Vegas to the stage back home.

Just a few weeks ago, we were in Las Vegas receiving an award for our booth at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. Now we have also received the 2026 Export Prize from the Chamber of Commerce Mälardalen and Grant Thornton Sweden. The Export Prize recognizes companies that contribute to growth through successful international sales.

In Las Vegas, we were recognized for how we present our technology. Now we are being recognized for what that technology actually leads to. To us, those two things are closely connected. At SVAB, innovation is not only about developing new technology, but also about making it clear, relevant and valuable to the people who use it. When that succeeds, it shows not only in the way visitors experience us at a trade show, but also in how Swedish technology from Åsbro reaches markets around the world.

To us, this is above all a confirmation of many years of purposeful work, strong collaboration and a clear focus on the future. Today, direct and indirect exports account for 82 percent of our turnover, and the share of direct exports has grown from 44 percent in 2021 to 58 percent in 2025.

This recognition is the result of the work, commitment and collaboration found throughout SVAB. A big thank you to our customers, partners and employees who are helping build that development together with us.

Thank you to everyone who visited the SVAB booth at CONEXPO 2026 in Las Vegas!

It was a great week filled with conversations and the opportunity to show how our joystick grips for excavators help operators perform at their best.

Visitors had the chance to experience our A9 joystick, explore our full joystick range, and test their skills in our VR stations. Seeing so many people engage and challenge themselves on the scoreboard made the experience even more fun.

We are also proud that our booth received the EXHIBITOR Magazine Exhibit Design Award during the show, a great recognition of the work that went into the booth.

We are proud to share that SVAB has won the Exhibit Design Award – Class 2 (400–1,000 sq. ft.) at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, presented by EXHIBITOR Magazine. The booth was designed to clearly showcase our products while creating an engaging experience on the show floor.

Geometry, lighting, and neon strips created strong contrasts and a visually striking space. Facing the main walkway, a large illuminated lightbox highlighted our next generation product, the SVAB A9 joystick grip.

Visitors could try different joystick configurations at our joystick stand before moving to the VR station, where they tested the joystick in a safe digital environment. This gave them an intuitive way to experience the controls in operation and reflects how we approach innovation. The VR simulator itself comes from our partner Tenstar Simulation AB.

Multiple hands-on stations encouraged visitors to engage directly with our technology, reflecting our core value of action.

Jury’s motivation
The winner is a booth that the judges initially appreciated for its rich color scheme, interesting orientation, and stylish lighting. They loved the mix of strong architecture and interesting technology and particularly appreciated the hands-on product display that immediately told passersby what the company does. Then, they started to play. One judge called the booth fun, and many of them took turns joining the gamification that underscores the product's capabilities.

We have now reached the halfway point of CONEXPO, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to visit our booth. It has been a pleasure meeting so many of you, and we truly appreciate the great conversations, the positive energy, and the interest you have shown in our products.
