Machine control is becoming more connected, assisted and intelligent.
Together with TERNA Systems, SVAB is exploring how haptic feedback in the A9 joystick grip can add a new communication layer between the machine and the operator.
By allowing important machine-control information to be felt directly in the joystick, the operator can receive more intuitive support when the machine or bucket approaches predefined zones.
Haptic feedback does not replace visual alerts, audible warnings or automated safety functions. It adds another way for the machine to communicate with the operator.
