If your first reaction is to quote Leviticus or Romans, we hope you’ll keep reading.

Our point isn’t that the Bible never mentions same-s*x acts. It does.

Our point is that the Bible never describes what we understand today as two people of the same s*x falling in love, entering a lifelong, mutual, committed relationship, and building a life together.

Those are not the same conversation.

Context matters. History matters. Language matters.

That’s why we believe Christians should read these passages carefully rather than assuming modern ideas about s*xual orientation are being discussed in an ancient text.

We’d love to hear your thoughts. Just remember there’s a real person on the other side of the screen.

It's perhaps appropriate that I've spotted this after just getting home from a Pain Clinic appointment!

Yes, we do tend to be better aware of our pain... But not necessarily aware of/good at taking into account that what we have to navigate to simply function starts us off at a disadvantage. And being gentle with ourselves as a result.

This might be projection obvs 🤪

But why not take some time this month to pray for those carrying burdens that are taking their toll. Whatever they may be. And commit to broadening your compassion? For yourself, for your neighbour, for the stranger....

It's Chronic Pain Awareness month (intercheable with pain awarenes).
And as many of us who have chronic pain would say; "We're aware of our pain thank you. Very aware.
Why not make this part of your prayers this month - especially for any of your friends who may be experiencing chronic pain.
