پچھلے سال اپنےآسٹریلیا کے سفر کے دوران آسٹریلیا کے پارلیمنٹ میں جانے کا موقع ملا ۔ قریب ہی آسٹریلیا کے وزیر اعظم کی رہائش گاہ ہے جسے "دی لاج" کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے، سوچا وہاں بھی ہو آؤں ، وہاں پہنچا تو دروازے پر موجود پولیس اہلکار نے مجھ سے آنے کی وجہ دریافت کی ،
میں نے کہا وزیر آعظم صاحب سے ملنا چاہتا ہوں،
پوچھا آپنے پیشگی اپوائنٹمنٹ لے رکھی ہے کیا ؟
میں نے کہا ، نہیں ،
اس پر پولیس اہلکار نے انتہائی معذرت کے ساتھ افسوس کا اظہار کیا اور ساتھ میں تسلی دی کہ اگر آپکے پاس کل وقت ہے تو میں کل آپکی ملاقات کا بندوبست کر لیتا ہوں ، لیکن آج ممکن نہی
میں چونکہ اگلی فلائیٹ سے نیوزیلینڈ جا رہا تھا اسلئے ملاقات کے لئے حامی نہیں بھری ۔
بہرحال اسکے بعد ڈیوٹی آفیسر سے اچھی خاصی گپ شپ لگی رہی، وہ کافی خوش ہوئے اور مجھے دل کی گہرائیوں سے خوش آمدید کہا، میرے پاکستانی ہونے پر بھی خوش ہوئے اور میرے کام کے بارے میں جان کر کافی سراہا ۔
میرا ایک معصومانا سا سوال جس پر تمام آفیسر بہت ہنسے بھی،
میں پاکستانی ہوں ! آپ لوگو ں نے نہ میری تلاشی لی ، نہ ہی مجھ سے میرا ویزا سٹیٹس پوچھا اور نا ہی مجھے وزیرآعظم سے ملنے کے لئے روکا ،
ان کا جواب سن کر مجھے یقین ہوگیا کہ قومیں کیوں ترقی کرتی ہیں ،
کہا کہ اس وقت آپ آسٹریلیا کی سرزمین پر ہو، اور یہاں آپکا حق کوئی آپ سے چھین نہی سکتا ، یہاں کا وزیراعظم بھی ، بس وقت کی پابندی کرنی ہے اور ملاقات کا مقصد واضح ہونا چاہئے ، اور رہی بات پاکستان سے آسٹریلیا آنے کی تو اسکے لئے ہم اپکے مشکور ہیں ، اور ویزا سٹیٹس بارڈر اور ایمگریشن فورس کا کام ہے ، آپ اگر یہاں موجود ہیں تو ہمیں یقین ہے آپ ہر طرح سے معزز شہری ہیں ،

Visiting Australia PM House without any prior appointments!!!
During my trip to Australia last year, I had the opportunity to visit the Parliament of Australia. Nearby is the residence of the Prime Minister of Australia known as "The Lodge".
I said I wanted to meet the Prime Minister.
Have you made an appointment in advance? They asked
I said no !
On this the policeman apologized very apologetically and reassured me that if you have time tomorrow, I can arrange your appointment tomorrow, but today is not possible.
Since I was going to New Zealand on the next flight, I did not agree for the bext day meeting appointment.
However, after that there was a good chat with the duty officer, he was very happy and welcomed me from the bottom of his heart, he was also happy that I was a Pakistani and he appreciated knowing about my work.
An innocent question of mine, on which all the officers laughed a lot,
I am Pakistani ! You guys neither searched me nor asked me about my visa status nor stopped me to meet the Prime Minister.
After listening to their answer, I became convinced that why nations develop,
He said that at that time you are on the land of Australia, and no one can take away your right here, even the Prime Minister here, you just have to adhere to the time and the purpose of the meeting should be clear, and as for coming to Australia from Pakistan. For that we are grateful, and visa status is the work of the Border and Immigration Force, if you are here we believe you are an honorable citizen in every way.
