🇵🇭 Filipino Catholics, did you know Muslims love and honour Mary (Maryam) too?

In Islam, Maryam is the mother of Jesus (Isa), peace be upon him, and she holds a deeply honoured place in the Qur’an.

One entire chapter of the Qur’an is named Surah Maryam (Chapter 19) — highlighting her story, faith and devotion to Allah.

Islam doesn’t reject Mary. We honour her.

After completing Umrah at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, it was time for a fresh haircut. ✂️ I visited a nearby barber, but the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. The service felt rushed, and they also refused to offer a razor haircut for children.

If you're planning Umrah, this is something to keep in mind when choosing a barber after completing your pilgrimage. Have you had a better post-Umrah haircut experience? Let me know in the comments!

Many pilgrims don't realise that wheelchairs are available at Masjid al-Haram for those who need assistance, making Tawaf and getting around easier for the elderly, people with disabilities, or anyone with temporary mobility issues. ♿🤍
May Allah accept everyone's Umrah and Hajj. Ameen.

Whether you're visiting for Umrah or Hajj, it's always helpful to know where nearby medical facilities are. Care Medical (Jiwar) overlooks Masjid al-Haram, making it a convenient location for pilgrims staying close to the Grand Mosque. Save this for your next trip to Makkah and share it with someone planning their pilgrimage. 🕋🤲

Did you know?

MASJID AN-NABAWI has a rooftop prayer area that you can go up.

The rooftop is opened at certain times to ease crowding inside the mosque and offers a calmer space for salah.

⬆️ How to enter the rooftop of Masjid an-Nabawi:

By stairs:
Pilgrims may be directed through doors:
8, 9, 17, 20, 21

By escalator:
Common access points include doors:
5, 10, 36

🚺 For women:
Women’s access is not always open and depends on crowd conditions and security arrangements on that day.
When permitted, women are usually directed through:
Door 17 or Door 23

When access is open, signs inside the mosque will simply guide pilgrims with “To Roof.”

🕰 When it’s open:

The rooftop is not open all day. It is commonly opened:
• After Fajr
• After Asr
• Or during peak times when the mosque becomes very crowded

Access may close due to weather, maintenance, or special arrangements.

Save this for your future Umrah
