MASJID AN-NABAWI has a rooftop prayer area that you can go up.
The rooftop is opened at certain times to ease crowding inside the mosque and offers a calmer space for salah.
⬆️ How to enter the rooftop of Masjid an-Nabawi:
By stairs:
Pilgrims may be directed through doors:
8, 9, 17, 20, 21
By escalator:
Common access points include doors:
5, 10, 36
🚺 For women:
Women’s access is not always open and depends on crowd conditions and security arrangements on that day.
When permitted, women are usually directed through:
Door 17 or Door 23
When access is open, signs inside the mosque will simply guide pilgrims with “To Roof.”
🕰 When it’s open:
The rooftop is not open all day. It is commonly opened:
• After Fajr
• After Asr
• Or during peak times when the mosque becomes very crowded
Access may close due to weather, maintenance, or special arrangements.
