The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has confirmed that tomorrow (Thursday) completes the month of Ramadan, and Friday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Crescent Sighting for Eid Al-Fitr Begins

Today, crescent sighting committees across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have begun observing the sky to sight the Shawwal crescent, which will determine the beginning of Eid Al-Fitr.

Observatories and committees are carefully monitoring the horizon this evening to confirm whether the blessed month of Ramadan will conclude.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds.

NEWS | The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia calls on all Muslims across the Kingdom to investigate into sighting the crescent marking the start of Ramadan on Tuesday evening, 29 Sha’ban 1447 AH according to the Umm Al Qura calendar, corresponding to 17 February 2026.

Those who witness the crescent by naked eyes or through binoculars are urged to contact the nearest court and register their testimony.
