রাসুল (সাঃ) বলেন: আল্লাহর কসম!
আখেরাতের তুলনায় দুনিয়ার উদাহরণ কেবল এতটুকুই যে, তোমাদের কেউ সমুদ্রে তার আঙ্গুলটি চুবিয়ে নিল। এবার সে দেখুক, এ আঙ্গুল কতটুকু পানি নিয়ে এসেছে।

অর্থাৎ যতটুকু পানি হাতে লেগেছে তা হলো দুনিয়ার জীবন। আর যে পানি সমুদ্রে রয়েছে তা হলো আখেরাতের জীবন।
