*THANKSGIVING - 3*

*Many times we despise God's blessings because other expectations of ours aren't yet met.*

Jesus rebuked our prioritizing what we wear more than life itself

Matthew 6:25
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

It takes life for food to be relevant, not vice versa.

Our soul is more vital to God than things we get.

Luke 12:15
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth…

Vs 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Matthew 6:27
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Vs 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Vs 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Vs 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Vs 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Vs 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Vs 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Vs 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

*Confession:*
*I repent of putting material things above life itself. I am far more worthy to God than food and raiment and I give thanks!!!*

*1 Kings 8:61 AMPC
[61] Let your hearts therefore be blameless and wholly true to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as today* .

The will of God is that all men be saved and to know the truth, through the hearing of the gospel of Christ death, burial, resurrection and accession for the forgiveness of sin.

*THANKSGIVING - 2*

*Here are some reasons to be thankful:*

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light.
Vs 13 [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
Vs 14 In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins (Amplified)

2nd Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere (Amplified)

1st Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Amplified)

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]!

For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] (Amplified)

Grumbling after praying amounts to a waste of your time.

I once asked someone who was grumbling over a "bad day " if he would you rather have no day at all.

Nothing matters in life more than life itself.

Hezekiah reiterated this.

Isaiah 38:18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
Vs 19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

As James teaches, let not such a man think he can receive ANYTHING from God (James 1: 5-7).

When we pray about circumstances, whether family, personal or for our nation, let us give thanks to God!

*Confession: I am thankful for the gift of life in Christ. I am qualified with an inheritance in the saints, I am thankful for the forgiveness of sins and I am thankful that I am in the kingdom of his son.*

28/12/2025

*2 Corinthians 9:6 AMPC
[6] [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.*

We give out of generosity in our hearts having received from God freely and out of his abounding grace.

*THANKSGIVING (1)*

*Giving thanks should never be occasional. It is a feature of the new-found Life in Christ.*

*Joy is the fruit of salvation. It’s not borne from any excitement of temporary relief. Rather, it is in-built, within the recreated Human Spirit.*

We must never be found complaining or grumbling. Grumbling is a presence of doubt and anxiety.
Let’s check up with the references below.

Philippians 2:14
Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves],
Vs 15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guiltless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation
[spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world.

1st Corinthians 10:10
Nor discontentedly complain as some of them did–and were put out of the way entirely by the destroyer (death). (Amplified Bible)

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Matthew 6: 27 – 34 (Further Reading)

When the cares of life seem overwhelming, the scriptures teach to PRAY and GIVE THANKS! We aren’t giving thanks for evil, rather prayer changes things and giving thanks affirms the integrity of God’s word in every situation.

We give thanks because God’s Word is true and this causes joy and rejoicing.

*Confession: *
*I refuse to murmur and grumble. I rather give thanks because God’s word is always true.*

*Romans 10:9 TPT
[9] And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation* .

This is the message of faith that brings salvation to whosoever believes that Jesus who's God became man and he died and rose again the third day to save men from sin and its effect.

THE CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL
BY DR ABEL DAMINA

DECEMBER DAY 25
JESUS CAME TO MAKE US HOLY

• Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Vs 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love

Paul made us see that the believer has been made holy as one of the blessings we have in Christ.

To be holy means to be sacred, separated, to be treated as special.

When we believed in Jesus, we were separated as special. We were sanctified. It is not a function of what we have done. It's solely what Jesus did.

• 1st Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours

Everyone who calls on the name of Jesus has been sanctified. He is a saint because he has been sanctified in Christ Jesus.

• 1st Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Peter also made us see this. We are a holy nation. A nation here is a race, a group of people. When Jesus rose from the dead, anyone who believes in him becomes holy.

• 1st Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

It is a spiritual blessing which the Father has given to us in Christ. Hence we don't do anything to be holy. It is the work of the Father. That's why Jesus came. He came to make us holy.

Sanctification is never our doing; it is the work of the sanctifier. The author of Hebrews made this clear.

• Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

• Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Confession: Jesus came to make me holy therefore I am holy, sanctified in Christ Jesus. I am a Saint in the family of God.

*2 Thessalonians 3:3 EASY
[3] But the Lord always does what he has promised. So he will help you to be strong inside yourselves. He will keep you safe when Satan attacks you* .

As a believer, you have the mandate to preach the same gospel that you believe to others and in the course of this preaching, you'll face opposition and persecution but God has promised safety and way of escape.

DECEMBER DAY 24

JESUS CAME TO MAKE US SONS

1st John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Vs 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Behold is to see. It’s an active decision. We must actively and consciously look at it to be effective as believers. James lets us see the importance of paying attention to God’s word. James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. In James 1:18, having said that God begat us with the word of truth, went on to say that the believer must be a doer of the word and not a hearer. He must continue to look into God’s word. He must continually behold and pay attention to being a son. He must not forget the manner of man he is, that he was begotten with the word of truth. The word of God is the believer’s mirror. To bestow on is to lavish on, an overflow of something.

What did God lavish on us? What God lavished on us is the fact that he made us son. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Today, Jesus is not the only son of God. John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. If a corn of wheat does not die, it cannot reproduce itself. Jesus in this parable was referring to himself as the corn of wheat. He was going to die so that there can be more sons of God. At the resurrection, Jesus multiplied himself, he rose with many sons. John 20:17 Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. When Jesus rose from the dead, He called God our Father. That’s why he came. He came to make us sons. We can call God Father because we are his sons. Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Vs 6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

After Jesus rose from the dead, he is referred to as the first begotten. . He is the First begotten because he is the head of the new creation. Jesus is the first fruits, we are a kind. Jesus died in our place. He died for our sins. Being raised from the dead with Jesus, we became sons.

Confession: I am a fruit of the resurrection of Jesus. God is my Father. I am a child of God Today.

*Luke 1:31-33 EASY
[31] Listen! A baby boy will grow inside you. When he is born, you will call him Jesus. [32] He will be great. People will call him the Son of the Most High God. The Lord God will make him rule as king, as his ancestor King David ruled. [33] He will rule over the descendants of Jacob for all time. His kingdom will continue for ever.’*

Jesus is the amalgamation of deity with humanity, born into the world to die and save the world through the forgiveness of sin unto the righteousness of God.

*TUESDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2025*

*JESUS CAME TO MAKE US RIGHTEOUS*

*Jesus Christ has been made our righteousness.*

*1st Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.*

A man by his own works and deeds can not attain righteousness. In fact, the scriptures called this kind of righteousness of man filthy rags.

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

However the righteousness of God is made available in Christ, devoid of man's work.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost…

Vs 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Acts 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

This righteousness is received by the faith of Christ.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Vs 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference…

Vs 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Hence Jesus came to make us righteous by his redemptive sacrifice.

2nd Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

*Confession: Today, Jesus is my righteousness. I am righteous by faith in Christ, not because of what I do but based on what Jesus has done.*

24/12/2025

*Luke 2:11 AMPC
[11] For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! [Mic. 5:2.]*

God promised salvation to Adam and his offspring when he fell to sin in the garden of eden which was fulfilled at his appointed time through the birth of Christ, born to die and rise again for the forgiveness of sin to everyone who believes.
