🌅 Some people wished they could perform ʿUmrah once in their lifetime, but Allah destined otherwise by taking them in death. Yet, the mercy of Allah remains — you can perform it on their behalf, and they earn the reward as Ṣadaqah Jāriyah. 🌸🤲
🕋 If you are unable to go yourself, we are close to Makkah and can perform it on their behalf with accountability in our hearts. Every Badalul ʿUmrah is done with sincerity, and we pray Allah accepts it as an act of ʿIbādah.

💌 Remember your deceased loved ones. They can no longer act for themselves — only what they left behind and what we do on their behalf continues to benefit them.

“What Will Be, Will Be” – An Admonition for the Youth

Bismillāh ir-Rahmān ir-Rahīm.
Alhamdulillāhi Rabbil ‘Ālamīn, wassalātu wassalāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh.

Dear beloved youth,

Life is full of ambitions and desires. Every young person wants comfort, success, and ease in this world—and there is nothing wrong with that. Islam does not condemn wealth, nor does it forbid enjoying the blessings of this dunya. However, Islam warns us against making wealth and worldly comfort our ultimate goal to the point where we lose sight of Allah, our purpose, and the Hereafter.

The phrase “what will be, will be” reminds us of one of the core pillars of our faith: Qadr (Divine Decree). As the Prophet ﷺ taught, “Know that if the whole nation were to gather to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with what Allah has already decreed for you; and if they were to gather to harm you with something, they would not harm you except with what Allah has already decreed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” (Tirmidhī, 2516).

This means, dear youth, that no matter how much you rush, cheat, or take shortcuts, you will never get more than what Allah has written for you. And if you stay patient, strive in halal ways, and put your trust in Allah, then what is written for you will reach you—pure, blessed, and with peace of mind.

Many young people today are deceived by the glitter of quick wealth: internet fraud, scams, gambling, haram businesses, and unlawful shortcuts. They think, “If I don’t grab it now, I’ll miss out.” But remember: what is not yours by decree will never reach you, no matter what tricks you use. And what Allah has written for you will surely come, even if the whole world tries to block it.

Allah says:
“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him.” (Qur’an, 65:2–3).

So my dear brothers and sisters, do not let the desire for comfort push you into the fire of haram. Comfort that comes with sin is poison; it may fill your hands but it will empty your heart. Real comfort is not only in money, but in a soul that sleeps peacefully knowing it has not angered its Creator.

Work hard. Seek halal opportunities. Be patient. Make du‘ā. And trust Allah’s promise: what will be, will be. But make sure when it comes, it comes through obedience, not disobedience.

Remember, this dunya is temporary. A palace today may be a grave tomorrow. But whoever sacrifices haram wealth for Allah, Allah will replace it with something better in this life and the next.

May Allah guide our youth, protect their hearts from greed, and grant them halal provisions filled with barakah. Āmīn.

Do you know the beautiful story behind this hadith?

A man once traveled all the way from Madinah to Damascus just to ask Abu al-Dardā’ (رضي الله عنه) about one hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.
When he arrived, Abu al-Dardā’ asked him: “What brought you here, my brother? Was it for trade or any worldly need?”

The man replied: “No, I came only to hear a hadith from you.”
So Abu al-Dardā’ told him the very hadith in the picture: “Whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. And the angels lower their wings out of pleasure for the seeker of knowledge…”
(Sunan Ibn Mājah 229, Musnad Ahmad — authentic)

🌸 Lesson for us today: the Companions valued knowledge so much that they would cross deserts and mountains for a single hadith.
💎 And let us never forget: the Sahabah (Companions) are honored people, chosen by Allah to support His Messenger ﷺ. They are not to be downgraded in any way. They are our role models—the best generation to follow in seeking knowledge and living by it.

May Allah make us among the seekers of beneficial knowledge, grant us sincerity in learning and practicing it, and gather us with the Prophet ﷺ and his noble companions in Jannatul-Firdaus. آمين.

A Gentle Reminder for Hearts That Remember…

Our loved ones may have left this world, but our love—and our deeds—can still reach them.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your late mother, father, spouse, or dear one is to do good on their behalf. Charity, prayer, acts of kindness—all of these can be a means of light in their graves.

And among the most beautiful of these deeds is performing ‘Umrah on their behalf.
The reward reaches them.
The mercy surrounds them.
And the peace of knowing you honored them fills your heart.
Don't let distance or time stop you. Let your love live on through action.

Do good for them. Let them be remembered with mercy.

A Reminder from the Heart

Alhamdulillah, we have completed a badalul ʿumrah on behalf of a deceased soul. 🌿
This experience reminded me of a powerful truth: even after our loved ones have left this world, we can still send light to their graves.
A Muslim does not become forgotten after death. Their children, spouses, parents, and friends can still do something for them. Among the greatest gifts:

* Performing ʿUmrah or Ḥajj on their behalf.

* Giving charity in their name.

* Making sincere duʿā’ for their forgiveness.

* Establishing a waqf – a continuous charity (like building a well, supporting education, or funding a masjid) whose rewards reach them for as long as people benefit.

Imagine your loved one in their grave receiving blessings because of a deed you did for them. 🌹

💭 Don’t let your parents, your spouse, or your loved ones pass without leaving behind something ongoing for them. The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a person dies, his deeds end except for three: a continuous charity (waqf), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

Let us be that source of mercy for them. Let us not forget them.

The Story of Kaʿb ibn Zuhayr and His Poem “Bānat Suʿād”

Kaʿb ibn Zuhayr was the son of Zuhayr ibn Abī Sulmā, one of the greatest poets of pre-Islamic Arabia. Poetry ran in his blood, and Kaʿb became one of the most eloquent poets of his time.

When the light of Islam spread in Arabia, his brother Bujayr ibn Zuhayr accepted Islam early. He invited Kaʿb to join him, but Kaʿb arrogantly refused. Not only did he reject the message of the Prophet ﷺ, but he also composed poetry mocking him. His words reached the Prophet ﷺ and angered the Muslims. Some of them even declared Kaʿb’s blood lawful for his insult.

Kaʿb’s Fear and Regret

When Kaʿb saw that Islam was spreading rapidly and that his poetry had put him in great danger, he began to feel regret. He realized that the truth was with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, but he was afraid—afraid that if he appeared before the Prophet, he would be punished for his past insults.

At this time, his brother Bujayr wrote to him, saying:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never harms those who come to him in repentance and Islam. If you want safety and forgiveness, then come quickly, declare your Islam, and seek his pardon.”

Kaʿb’s Journey to Madinah

Kaʿb decided to risk it. Quietly and secretly, he traveled to Madinah. When he arrived, he went to one of the companions he trusted and asked him to take him to the Prophet ﷺ without telling anyone who he was.

Finally, he stood before the Prophet ﷺ. He declared his Islam, and then, with trembling voice, began to recite the poem that would make history:

The Poem “Bānat Suʿād”

Following the tradition of Arabic qasīdah, Kaʿb began with verses of love and longing for a woman named Suʿād. But then he shifted to describing his own fear and helplessness, his awareness of his sins, and his plea for safety.

Then came the lines that melted hearts:
إنَّ الرسولَ لنورٌ يُستضاءُ بهِ
مهندٌ من سيوفِ اللهِ مسلولُ
“Indeed, the Messenger is a light from which guidance is sought,
A sharp sword from the swords of Allah, unsheathed.”

The Prophet’s Reaction

The Prophet ﷺ listened with gentleness. When Kaʿb finished his recitation, the Prophet did not scold him. Instead, he forgave him for his past words and accepted his repentance.

In fact, the Prophet ﷺ was so moved by the sincerity of Kaʿb and the beauty of his words that he took off his own cloak (the burdah) and placed it on Kaʿb’s shoulders as an honor.

This moment became legendary. From that day, the poem was known as Qasīdat al-Burdah (The Poem of the Cloak).

Legacy

“Bānat Suʿād” spread throughout the Muslim world and was memorized by generations. It became a symbol of forgiveness, repentance, and the Prophet’s mercy ﷺ. Kaʿb ibn Zuhayr, once an enemy of Islam, became one of its most loyal poets.

A Badalul ‘Umrah has been completed.

We ask Allah ﷻ to accept it as an act of ‘ibadah, forgive the deceased, elevate their rank in the hereafter, and make it a means of mercy and light in the grave.
اللهم اغفر له وارحمه، واجعل هذه العمرة شفيعةً له، ونوراً له في قبره، ورفعةً في درجته.

🤲 May Allah accept from us all and grant our loved ones Jannah without reckoning.
