On March 20, we witnessed a gracious and God-glorifying milestone—the Covenanting of JRBC. With 26 members joyfully affirming and signing their covenant membership, we were reminded that the church is not merely a gathering, but a people bound together by the sovereign grace of God.
Under the oversight of Pastor Raymond Mendoza of RRCC, and with the presence and support of BRBC and CBC, this sacred moment reflects the beauty of Christ’s body being built according to His Word. Covenant membership is not a human invention but a visible expression of God’s covenant faithfulness—a response of obedience to the gospel that has first claimed us.
As Scripture declares, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)
And again, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)
Our commitment to one another flows from God’s eternal decree, His irresistible grace, and His sustaining power. As it is written, “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
May JRBC continue to stand firm upon the doctrines of grace, exalting Christ alone, trusting in Scripture alone, and living for the glory of God alone. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
To all who have entered into this covenant: persevere in faith, walk in holiness, and labor in love, as “you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house.” (1 Peter 2:5)
Soli Deo Gloria.
