For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

He who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life (John 5:24).

Everlasting life is the reward for those who hear my word and believe in the one who sent me. They will not face judgment; they have already passed from death into life.

It is a great word picture of Christ the wisdom of God and the promises of our love are rewarded when we seek God diligently. Keep in mind that King Solomon was a wise man who diligently sought God and he was well rewarded!

Throughout his reign, Solomon loved the God of Israel and covenanted with God that he would walk in obedience throughout his administration as king of Israel. Solomon was promised wisdom, riches, honor, and long life if he would continue in righteousness before the Lord. The promise was fulfilled. Under Solomon’s reign, Israel gained honor, wealth, power, and respect. Many people from many nations came to hear him and test his understanding and knowledge.
