🌱 In the book of Luke 10:25-37 contains the Parable of the Good Samaritan, told by Jesus to define "neighbor" as anyone in need, regardless of background. A lawyer, testing Jesus on how to inherit eternal life, is taught that loving God and one’s neighbor—exemplified by showing mercy—is the path, breaking down social barriers to prioritize compassion over religious legalism.
✨ In this context, being a good neighbor is thinking and doing good to one's neighbor not just once but doing it until he is healed.
By using all your resources as to what the scriptures convey.👇
📖 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Luke 10:34
🌿 In this Parable, sometimes in our lives we are like this person beaten, stripped by this world.
Despite reminders and protection for each of the wrong decisions, we still insist on continuing with things that are no longer in God's will. Until such time we have found ourselves half dead in all ways of life. Jesus is the "Good Samaritan" a good neighbor to everyone extending His help to all who are in need. And He will not stop until we are okay.👇
📖 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Luke 10:35
Conclusion verse:
📖 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20
📖 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:17-18
🎯 It is easy to say that we love the God but can it be reflected and seen how we treat our neighbor? The one who extend help to others out of love those who are good neighbor that Jesus want us to do in this Parable "Go and do thou likewise". In other context "neighbor" is the person who needs help.
➡️ Knowing God's Law is essential to understanding His holiness and human sinfulness, but studying the life of Jesus reveals the practical application of that law—love, grace, and mercy.
➡️ Jesus fulfilled the law, providing the ultimate model of how to reach all people through relational, compassionate ministry, rather than strict obedience to the law.
To God be all the glory.🙌
