7 top things which are the enemy of blessings from God.
Those are also things God hates the most.
I would like to first remind that everyone is born blessed because we are all in fore plans of God. But here we are going to look in the things which the blessing of God could not co-habit with.
1. Unfaithfullness: a true faith is the faith in Jesus Christ. The true blessings of God is attached with that faith. We are blessed when we believe in Jesus Christ. The first and foremost blessing we have when we believe is to be the children of God. John1: 12.
2. Pride : Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
When a man is having pride, he is exalting himself however only God should be exalted.
3. Selfishness and greedy: to be selfish and greedy simply means not benefiting the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is built by love ( love of God and love of neighbor) and selfishness and greedy is distraction to that.
4. Wasting and mismanagement : we are given life and blessing, doing things that put our lives and blessings on wastage, it leads to disgrace. We are created to be good managers of what we are given.
5. Disobedience: God has a mission for you and that is what you are born for. Obeying God’s call for the mission produces blessings but disobedience comes with consequences. A good example Jonah.
6. Sexual immorality and Drunkenness: the blessing of God stays in having one wife/husband. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we stay clean and pure when we do not engage ourselves into sexual immorality. Drunkenness lead to lack of self control and being unsober, lack of self control leads to wrong decisions in life.
7. Lack of principles: Good Christian principles should be established based on Christian values. For example: Joshua’s principle was that “ as for me and my house we will serve the Lord”
