Having good habits goes hand in hand with speaking pure, fair, true and edifying words (2 Corinthians 6:3-7). If we are Christians, there are expressions we should avoid using. We must be guided by Paul's advice that “all bitterness and wrath and anger and strife and slander and all strife arise from it. Fornication and all lewdness and covetousness shall not be uttered among you as befits saints, nor obscenities, nor foolish words, nor blasphemies, for these are not proper, but give thanks to God." (Eph 4:31; 5:3-4). The apostle James says that when we "put bridles in the horse's mouth" he obeys us and goes where we direct him. Therefore, we must strive to protect our language. Not controlling the tongue "is an evil like the world" (James 3:1-7). All manner of bad habits that characterize this ungodly world go hand in hand with the disobedience of the tongue. That language is the cause of things that have a negative impact on others, we can say such as false accusations, insults and slander (Isaiah 5:20; Matthew 15:18-20). When the tongue speaks words that contain insults, slander, slander, it is full of deadly desolation.
