Zab 61:3-7
[3]Mpagaze ku mpera y'isi nzajya ngutabaza,Uko umutima wanjye uzagwa isari.Unshyire ku gitare kirekire ntakwishyiraho,
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
[4]Kuko wambereye ubuhungiro,N'igihome kirekire kinkingira umwanzi.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
[5]Nzaguma mu ihema ryawe iteka,Nzahungira mu bwihisho bwo mu mababa yawe.Sela.
For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
[6]Kuko wowe Mana, wumvise umuhigo wanjye,Umpaye umwandu uhabwa abubaha izina ryawe.
Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
[7]Uzongerera umwami iminsi y'ubugingo bwe,Imyaka ye izabe nk'iy'ab'ibihe byinshi.
He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

Yh 3:17-18
[17]Kuko Imana itatumye Umwana wayo mu isi gucira abari mu isi ho iteka, ahubwo yabikoreye kugira ngo abari mu isi bakizwe na we.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18]Umwizera ntacirwaho iteka, utamwizera amaze kuricirwaho kuko atizeye izina ry'Umwana w'Imana w'ikinege.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Mk 13:34-35,37
[34]Ni nk'umuntu wasize urugo rwe ajya mu kindi gihugu, aha abagaragu be ubutware, umuntu wese ahabwa umurimo we, ategeka umukumirizi kuba maso.
For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
[35]Nuko namwe mube maso kuko mutazi igihe nyir'urugo azaziramo, niba ari nimugoroba cyangwa mu gicuku, cyangwa mu nkoko cyangwa umuseke utambitse,
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
[37]Icyo mbabwiye ndakibwira bose nti ‘Mube maso.’ ”
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Mk 10:47-49,51-52
[47]Yumvise ko Yesu w'i Nazareti ari we uje, aherako arataka cyane ati “Yesu mwene Dawidi, mbabarira.”
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
[48]Abantu benshi baramucyaha ngo ahore, ariko arushaho gutaka ati “Mwene Dawidi, mbabarira.”
And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
[49]Yesu arahagarara arababwira ati “Nimumuhamagare.”Bahamagara impumyi barayibwira bati “Humura, haguruka araguhamagara.”
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
[51]Yesu arayibaza ati “Urashaka ko nkugirira nte?”Iyo mpumyi iramusubiza iti “Mwigisha, ndashaka guhumuka.”
And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
[52]Yesu arayibwira ati “Igendere, kwizera kwawe kuragukijije.”Uwo mwanya arahumuka amukurikira mu nzira.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Mt 15:6-9,12-20
[6]Nuko ijambo ry'Imana mwarihinduye ubusa ngo mukomeze imigenzo yanyu.
And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
[7]Mwa ndyarya mwe, Yesaya yahanuye ibyanyu neza ati
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
[8]‘Ubu bwoko bunshimisha iminwa,Ariko imitima yabo imba kure.
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
[9]Bansengera ubusa,Kuko inyigisho bigisha ari amategeko y'abantu.’ ”
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
[12]Maze abigishwa baramwegera baramubaza bati “Uzi yuko Abafarisayo barakajwe no kumva ayo magambo?”
Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
[13]Arabasubiza ati “Igiti cyose Data wo mu ijuru adateye kizarandurwa.
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
[14]Nimubareke ni abarandata impumyi kandi na bo bahumye. Ariko impumyi iyo irandase indi zombi zigwa mu mwobo.”
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
[15]Petero aramusubiza ati “Dusobanurire uwo mugani.”
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
[16]Aramubaza ati “Mbese namwe ntimurajijuka?
And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
[17]Ntimuzi yuko ikintu cyose kigiye mu kanwa kijya mu nda kikanyura mu nzira yacyo?
Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
[18]Ariko ibiva mu kanwa biba bivuye mu mutima, ni byo bihumanya umuntu.
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
[19]Kuko mu mutima w'umuntu ari ho haturuka ibitekerezo bibi: kwica no gusambana no guheheta, kwiba no kubeshyera abandi n'ibitutsi.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
[20]Ibyo ni byo bihumanya umuntu, ariko kurisha intoki zitajabitse mu mazi ntiguhumanya umuntu.”
These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Mt 13:1-14
[1]Uwo munsi Yesu asohoka mu nzu, yicara mu kibaya cy'inyanja.
The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
[2]Abantu benshi bateranira aho ari, bituma yikira mu bwato yicaramo, abantu bose bahagarara mu kibaya.
And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
[3]Abigisha byinshi, abacira imigani aravuga ati“Umubibyi yasohoye imbuto.
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
[4]Akibiba zimwe zigwa mu nzira, inyoni ziraza zirazitoragura.
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
[5]Izindi zigwa ku kāra kadafite ubutaka bwinshi, uwo mwanya ziramera kuko ubutaka atari burebure,
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
[6]izuba rivuye ziraraba, maze kuko zitari zifite imizi ziruma.
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
[7]Izindi zigwa mu mahwa, amahwa arāruka araziniga.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
[8]Izindi zigwa mu butaka bwiza zera imbuto, imwe ijana, indi mirongo itandatu, indi mirongo itatu, bityo bityo.
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
[9]Ufite amatwi niyumve.”
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[10]Abigishwa baramwegera baramubaza bati “Ni iki gituma ubigishiriza mu migani?”
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
[11]Arabasubiza ati “Mwebweho mwahawe kumenya ubwiru bw'ubwami bwo mu ijuru ariko bo ntibabihawe,
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
[12]kuko ufite wese azahabwa kandi akarushirizwaho, ariko udafite wese azakwa n'icyo yari afite.
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
[13]Igituma mbigishiriza mu migani ni iki: ‘Ni uko iyo barebye batitegereza, n'iyo bumvise batumva kandi ntibasobanukirwe.’
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
[14]Ndetse ibyo Yesaya yahanuye bibasohoyeho ngo‘Kumva muzumva, ariko ntimuzabisobanukirwa,Kureba muzareba, ariko ntimuzabibona.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

Rom 8:5-9,11-13
[5]Abakurikiza ibya kamere y'umubiri bita ku by'umubiri, naho abakurikiza iby'Umwuka bakita ku by'Umwuka.
[6]Umutima wa kamere utera urupfu, ariko umutima w'Umwuka uzana ubugingo n'amahoro,
[7]kuko umutima wa kamere ari umwanzi w'Imana, kuko utumvira amategeko y'Imana, ndetse ntushobora kuyumvira.
[8]Erega burya abari mu butware bwa kamere ntibashobora kunezeza Imana!
[9]Ariko mwebwe ntimuri aba kamere, ahubwo muri ab'Umwuka niba Umwuka w'Imana aba muri mwe. Ariko umuntu wese utagira Umwuka wa Kristo ntaba ari uwe.
[11]Ariko niba Umwuka w'Iyazuye Yesu aba muri mwe, Iyazuye Kristo Yesu izazura n'imibiri yanyu ipfa ku bw'Umwuka wayo uba muri mwe.
[12]Nuko rero bene Data, turi mu mwenda ariko si uwa kamere y'imibiri yacu ngo dukurikize ibyayo,
[13]kuko niba mukurikiza ibya kamere y'umubiri muzapfa, ariko nimwicisha Umwuka ingeso za kamere muzarama.

[2]Mbese guceceka ni ko mucisha imanza zitabera?Mwa bantu mwe, mbese muca imanza z'ukuri?
[3]Ahubwo mukorera ibyo gukiranirwa mu mitima yanyu,Urugomo rw'amaboko yanyu ni rwo rubanza mucira mu gihugu.
[4]Abanyabyaha batandukanywa n'Imana uhereye ku kuvuka kwabo,Iyo bavutse uwo mwanya bariyobagiza bakabeshya.
[6]Itumva ijwi ry'abagombozi,Naho bagomboresha ubwenge bwinshi cyane.
[7]Mana, ubavune amenyo mu kanwa kabo,Uwiteka, uce imikaka y'iyo migunzu y'intare.
[8]Buzuruke bakame nk'amazi asuma cyane,Agitamika imyambi ibe nk'ibishishibano.
[9]Babe nk'ikijongororwa kiyaga kigashira,Babe nk'ikiramb, kitigeze kureba izuba.
